sounds like you have multiple things mapped to the same control.

try sorting your mappings by the "mapped to" column and see what else is mapped to those functions.

I mapped mine pretty simple. I used the 2 knobs (LOOP SIZE shift+left & shift+right) to scroll through the tree list and pushing the knob (shift+left+push &shift+right+push) will collapse and expand the folder.

I also changed the setting of the "Shift" button on the X! in TSP in the "Preferences" in the "Traktor Kontrol X1" tab in the "Page/Layer Switches" section for the shift button to toggle instead of holding the shift all the time when you wanna use the other functions.

I was reading on the way you mapped your kontrol X1 to browse thru your folder...

I have no clue on how to start on this...

You still want to write a short tutorial on how to do this?

    Cheers!

I manage to assign the two bottom knobs to scroll through folders. I can collapse and expand folders but I can only do that in "shift" mode. I also made it so when you press the shift button that it stays and you don't have to hold the button down.

guys thanks for all these tips, that helped me alot! i am a new to traktor, and was looking at Preferences thinking OMFG, i cant understand this....

now i have done 2 mappings to my x1

Left encoder Tree select Up/Down (relative)
    Right encoder Track select
Loading deck A Push left encoder
Loading deck B Push right encoder
thats enough for me as i have all my music sorted to genre folders in 1 folder

and did a macro mapping for X1 Play button in case if im mixing with it

left play button push: 1) hotcue, sync, play for deck A
right play button push 2) hotcue, sync, play for deck B
