    thanks, NI

Will you PLEASE listen to us now, NI? You have radically changed every product to accommodate the new users of a new product instead of making them use one of the most innovative and USEFUL features on any virtual instrument ever, and angered every client/consumer who faithfully gave you our hard earned money for years.

The ONLY way I have found around this is to uninstal all "post-FU-customer" NI updates and reinstall the last version with the attribute browser. So, no you don't get the new features or sounds, but you can actually find sounds you DO have in a meaningful way without trying to judge what a sound may sound like by it's name among 1500 other names. Luckily, I save a version of every update file so I have them. If you didn't, well sorry!

NI, hooray, you found a new market to sell your products to. DJ's, I hope you are happy with your new product, because the rest of us producers and musicians who made NI what it is today are blown away by the lack of consideration for us.

    Thanks, NI

Ironically many companies have seen the light of attributes based browsing and preset management since Kore and yet NI appear to have abandoned it, despite the clear benefits to users. They need to think again.

WOW! I'm shocked at how bad browsing for sounds is in NI products. I actually thought the attributes section would allow me to search by patches by attributes. WOW, how wrong I was! I mean, whats the point of categorizing sounds if you cannot search for sounds by categories!

PLEASE, NI! Take a page out of Spectrasonics playbook and make it EASY TO ORGANIZE AND FIND SOUNDS! I'm not giving NI another dime until they fix this!

edit: looks like you can search by attributes but not the whole library at once....weird...

Complaints have been going on since September 2011. End of October 2011 I sent support links to all the threads about it, they thanked me for the feedback, lol.
    So bad for business...

lol - the irony is Spectrasonics probably got at least some of their ideas for Omnisphere's browser from NI originally. Before the last downgrade all these NI synths had a Kore based browser with proper attributes based searching. They took all of that out to make it compatible with Maschine, as if anyone wanted that to result in crippling their browsers.

Companies like Native Instruments that ignore their old customers and focus only on new sales will eventually make everyone angry and lose more sales than they could have ever gained.

I will use my purchased NI software until it is no longer compatible with system upgrades. I will NOT pay NI a cent more until they address the issues raised above, as well as the many other issues raised here in these forums.

NI - wake up and listen.
This criticism is so bad for your company. Do you not see that?

Musos's post is absolutely correct. I know so many people who have been 'with' NI for years. Almost all feel pretty much 'discarded'. One gets the impression that NI's only interest these days is DJ's. NI have lost a lot of long-term, committed customers to a number of fashion-following, fickle trend-followers who are likely to jump ship and soon as the required angle of baseball cap wearing shifts by a degree or two.

I detest the way NI ditched Kore. I even more detest the way that they have worked so hard to make later updates incomptible with Kore. We Kore users now have to decide on having bug-fixes or retain Kore compatibility so now, if they ever fix the bugs in FM8 (especially the one that has patches in 64 bit sounding totally different to those in 32 bit - who let THAT little beauty out into the wild?) then, if we want it, it's another piece of kit running outside Kore.

NI you really destroyed my joy of using Massive for presets. Which I did. Bring the old attributes/browser back please. Enough is enough.

All these years later, and still the same situation here. I sincerely hope that NI are ok increasingly substituting income for customer good will. However, I guess you've fully weighed the fact that once customers get burnt wasting money on non-supported "bricked" products for long enough, it will effect your bottom line eventually. Maybe you truly just don't care. But as soon as more reliable/usable systems become available from other providers, customers will leave in the droves (as I guess they should). And that compounding loss of good will, will quickly turn into an exponential landslide.
I guess my "expensive" S49 keyboard will become a brick soon enough also. Just give the MkII long enough to become a majority, then it'll be spending time yet again.

I can't really comprehend or understand your "buyer exclusion" business model NI. I guess the shareholders are quite happy with the trade-off for now, as it's obviously making them/you lots of money. Borrow on I guess.

My S49 keyboard still working just fine even with latest update. Now easier to find stuff, no fear it will drop dead for years to come. No risk of a brick, so far.
