another note to the browser, when the Russian language is activated, the hot key combination does not work

 

My tracklist text color request was listened <3 THANK YOU.
It looks nice now but i do think that colors should be slightly more saturated, because now they arent that different from eathother
This orange and red looks too similar. I do feel like it i would not catch difference on glimpse. There was same issue with color of fonts but its now fixed in this beta. Maybe it is because even rows are darker. I would love if there would be option to disable darkening of even rows and "saturate colors slider".

I do feel for long time that colors should be more spaced away and easier to distinguish from other.

 

I would prefer that the lines in the browser should not be tinted at all, before Traktor I used serato and rekordbox, and there were never any problems with the color, we can always look just at the color that is indicated in the color column, I myself personally stopped using the color, so how I do not like the multicolored browser. In the new beta version - it looks a little better, but I would also suggest an option in the settings to turn off line coloring.

 

Almaz yeah i mentioned this in a earlier post, i find the coloured line a distraction when you have a whole playlisted coloured, the simple coloured circle column is sufficient enough and then what could be coloured is the txt for a played song rather, i see alot of people are requesting the font to be greyed out for a played song, i think it should rather be highlighted if a song has been played similar to what serato and rekordbox has. though i will admit the coloured line in the new beta is way better then before as its a little darker and not as bright and distracting as before.Yet i would still prefer just the circle column to be coloured.

 

I prefer whole line colored, just one column would be pretty much useless for me. Of course it could me maybe in preferance, but yeah i do think that is way better to quick glance on corner of your eye, i don't want to look as little on screen as it is possible, i fight "serato face". About graying out played song i do think that this should be preference also, and maybe with additional toggle on front of gui to hide/show played tracks.

 

What about an option/checkbox in prefs - something like:

"Omit Tracks Played this session from Playlist"

OR - instead of an option in prefs, have it as a condition in Smart Playlists???

 

It's already a condition in smart playlists, so go nuts.

I just installed the release version 3.4, the directory tree is still unstable, let me show you what I mean by "unstable" I recorded a video where I manipulate folders and playlists in a rekordbox and a traktor. Please look at the difference, how stable the rekordbox behaves, in contrast to the traktor

also in the browser, we cannot drag the playlist just to the middle or end of the folder, we need to go up to the very top of the folder

there is also a small bug in the new triangle graphic element that opens the folder, it has a delay of about a second, so we cannot quickly open and close the folder, we need to wait a second

1. In Beta 3.4.0.233 as in 220 too, in the analysis job the color of the track analysing is wear out and can't be seen.

2. Also when adding tracks they don't take ascending # in collection.
All 32 newly added tracks took # 2 to 33 instead of 74850, 74851 etc

After restarting Traktor tracks have the correct #, but after adding new tracks same issue happened :
tracks took # 2 to 33 instead of 74850, 74851 etc

 

Thanks for your detailed feedback. We are confident that many of these issues will be removed over time as we stepwise modernise our graphics framework.

In Beta 3.4.0.233 there's another browser bug that needs to restart Traktor to work correctly again.

As the image shows my collection has 16 tracks, but in fact I have 74893 tracks (look at the artists, releases etc).

This happened after I add 12 tracks in 3 groups of 7, 2, 3 tracks.
Same bug happened in Beta 3.4.0.220 too

thanks for the report and for betatesting Traktor Pro! From the screenshot it looks like the collection is being filtered (aka searched) for "empty string" on some fields, the indication being the highlighted white border around the search box in the top left. This happen by clicking on the magnification glass showing up while moving the mouse on the track list fields. When a filter/search is active only the tracks matching the current filter are shown and the track count/duration in the status bar is updated accordingly.

Can you try to re-add those track and if it happens again click on the X in the search box (to reset the filter)?

Hey Enzo,

I did reset the search field before taken the screenshot and was sure there's no active search filter.
This happened 2-3 times in previous beta 220 too.
It's not re-producable, happens at different times without a specific pattern.

I was just adding tracks, none of my controllers was connected, only my external hard disc with my full music collection, which is in Ex-fat format.

Hey Enzo,

I managed to re-produce the issue.
I deleted the same tracks from collection and re-added them and same issue happened. This time was showing my collection with 75 tracks.



Then I deleted 12 other tracks from collection, moved them to another location and re-added them in 2 groups.
Adding first group of 6 tracks was added without problem.
Then I added all 12 tracks (6 left in second group and 6 from first group which were already added).
Then the issue happened again, showing me 14 tracks in collection, as shown in the video below.
As you can see I resetting many times the search window, but still shows 14 tracks.

Is this framework overhaul going to include an updated textfield component? There are a few differences between editing text in Traktor's browser and, for example, an HTML text field, or an Excel table, including response time/input reset (the thing that leads to texts like "Lotist Nameng Ar" when typing "Long Artist Name" quickly), cursor/selection behavior (ie where the cursor ends up when you press an arrow key while text is selected), double-click selection behavior (can't double-click a field in a non-selected row to edit, word boundaries when double-clicking words currently don't include non-space separation characters like - or /), tabbing from one field to the next, and probably a few more things I'm forgetting now

I'd also like to sort by #, but descending! it feels like turning that off for just that one column would be more work than just letting us sort up or down this is, by the way, not the same as sorting by import date, since traktor remembers tracks that were imported in like 2014 and deleted, and then added again in 2020, and will sort them by their first import date in that column instead of the last import date (as in the # column)
