Bug Reports for Traktor Pro 2.5.1 (NO Ranting please!)

OK...so the last thread i started for 2.5 helped a lot of people figure out which bugs were universal & which were user/system specific...and most of the guys & gals did a good job staying on topic

Even so...ill say it again...
please keep it simple & to the point...please don't rant & go off topic...your music management/warping skills (or lack thereof) is of no interest in this thread either

Now that most of the problems we had reported in 2.5 have been fixed (only 1 i really had was the clip led on S4) i think we should have a new thread to list any bugs found in 2.5.1

just fiddling around with remix sets i seem to have founds something...stopping a slot even after it has been muted...makes a little pop/click when it finally stops after the set quantize time...im pretty sure this was not happening before

i initially noticed this when i was trying out the new stop/mute preference...

i definitely have noise every time a sample actually stops


i have totally shifted to a laptop + controller only setup...so i can't help with any HID/Scratch related stuff...but i have the week off so I'm ready and willing to help with anything 2.5.1 or S4 or F1 related

 

I have an issue after upgrade to 2.5.1 , where i cant get My x1 to work at all?

 

what system are you on...have you tried updating x1 drivers?

 

Just downloading 2.5.1 now. So I will report back if I have any problems.

 

The CDJ 2000 controller manager mapping for the CDJ 2000 does not display the option to select the Needle.

 

Pressing Fast Search makes unexpected jump

I just installed TP2.5.1 today and found a problem with Fast Search.

Right after loading a track into any deck, pressing Fast Search makes unexpected jump to somewhere on the track.
It seems that it remembers where Fast Search jumed to in the previous jump point.

It worked without problem with 2.5.0, so I guess this problem is introduced in the 2.5.1.

Controller : Denon DN-MC6000
PC: Windows 7 (64bit)

Does anybody have similar problem?

 

i had this issue, found the new install had changed the "In-port", change it back and it was fine

 

cant find where to update 2.5.1 help?

the bpm tag is not updated when i insert a folder to my collection! In the 'collection' playlist the bpm tag is shown correctly but when i locate the files i imported in the browser the bpm is not updated. this is happening from 2.5 version and i hoped 2.5.1 would fix it but nothing.

 

My service center wont show an update for for 2.5.1. I still only have 2.5 so it isnt updated yet...

 

Log in to the NI website then go to- support>downloads>updates

I've noticed that with 2.5.1, the playlists appear to be a bit... how should I put it... "flashy". When you browse through the tracks, every now and then the whole playlist area appears to clear itself and immediately redraw again. Always this doesn't even seem to require browsing - as said, it only happens every now and then.

As for technical details on my system; I am on a 2009 MacBook (2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo) with 4GB of memory and under Mac OS X 10.7.4

Granted, I feel silly nitpicking about something like this in an update that otherwise feels quite solid so far; it's just that when I'm playing, my laptop is not in front of me - I usually put it on a far corner of the table, close enough to keep an eye on my peripheral vision, far enough to not be an obstruction between me and the crowd. When I see something strange happening in the screen, my eyes dart to the screen to make certain that it is not something I need to worry about. With this "flashing", my neck is getting sore

First I thought that I was only imagining it, so I spent a while looking intensively on the screen. After doing this I became certain that it was actually happening (since before, after my eyes were on the screen, everything was already fine - it is just a momentary flash).

Anyway... like I mentioned earlier; I feel silly nitpicking about these kinds of things. However I think things like these should be mentioned - it is easy to miss something like this during testing. Making software foolproof is hard as fools are ingenius in doing things in ways the testers never though anyone in their right mind would think of doing something

I don't know if this is related to another problem I noticed with older versions (and have not yet been able to test with this new one). I noticed that Traktor was using significantly more CPU when it was not fullscreen - or if the screen dimensions were not "landscape" (with an external display, in "portrait"-mode, you get a whole lot more screen estate for the playlist - a bit like being in browse mode while still seing the full players etc.) ... I really don't know if this is related or not - just thought to mention it here also.

 

just do as i do and try to ignore the flashing, i believe its a minor flaw that will be ironed out in the future

 

Im new to using Traktor so i don't know if this is a bug or not but on your deck layout where you can see the letters "A" for deck A and "B" for deck B the box in deck A is orange and the one in B is grey. Is anyone else having this issue?

 

Browser Search is still way slower than on 2.0.3 on "big" music collection, says >40K tracks. you can even type the whole track name and wait 'till all the letter appear in the search bar AND while the waveform are freezing. Not a real big deal but annoying enough.

 

I havent noticed many problems besides CPU usage.

Playing 4 tracks at once, with my Audio 10 on full USb buffering & latency causes CPU spikes and audio stuttering. :angry:

On 2.1.3 and below it never did this even with the Audio 10 on way faster settings.

Enabling multi-core support makes it worse.

I cant seem to find the "In Port" as you mention. And to the previous comment , i am using Vista PC 2.83 Ghz processor , 2 gig RAM , 120 gig free space on HDD

 

traktor settings...click on controller manager...select traktor kontrol x1 from the drop down menu on top...on the right you will see the in & out port...set the IN PORT to traktor kontrol x1
