Use the installed backup in the traktor folder. take 2.1. and rename it to traktor.exe (windows) then put it in the main traktor folder. but some people report bugs for an before updated 2.1.2 version to.

Here's my problem. Don't know if it was mentioned yet ( i couldn't read 10 pages of problems, sorry)

After every 2 hours of play i've got an audio dropout for ~1sec (System is win7), Load and CPU Usage as well as Memory Usage are never more than 20% even with full effects and keylock on in every deck. i had this before in 2.1.2 but not that regullarly. this is really annoying and awkward when playing in front of an audience.
Background applications and non-essential hardware devices are all switched of. All steps from the NI hints to speed up traktor on win7 pdf didn't help anything. Somebody saw this too?

Did you report the issue to NI support already?

I mailed them once when it appeared (in 2.1.2) i hoped it would be fixed in 2.5. didn't happen.
but they had also no idea. i should conntact the notebook manufacturer. which is telling me that i should conntact ni support. i think we all know such stories...

i have never used an S2 but yes master will ALWAYS show the Output L-R levels

you will have to switch to PGM to see the levels of individual channels

this option doesn't exist for the S4 so i wasn't aware it was switchable on S2

I posted this in another thread, but I feel that this is a pretty big bug in regards to TSP users that use Control Records (MKII btw):

Ever since I upgraded to 2.5, dropping the needle to the lead in of the control record while in relative mode does not restart the track. I've gone through all the timecode settings, and I don't think I'm missing anything. I can get around to using absolute mode, but it doesn't fix the issue.

    I'm using a MacBook Pro (i5 2.3GHz, 4GB RAM, OS X 10.6.8), a DJM-900nexus as my interface, 2x Technics 1200 MK5s, and Shure M-447s.

i wouldnt call it "big", but it's actually a known bug and it's worked on.

Having to multi-click to name a new playlist is annoying. Hopefully that's an easy fix.

Last night I played my first live set with 2.5. I've been rehearsing the software for awhile without issue, but last night at about the one hour mark everything began slowing and stuttering to a crawl. Switched songs, no good. The CPU load was maxed. Stopped both decks for the length of one song and everything settled down. I was able to finish the set just fine. Rebooted between sets and the 2nd set was totally fine.

I also find the behavior of my X1 and non-Traktor controllers have changed. They are all slower, less responsive. While play seems okay (I invert my play button to trigger upon release), the cue and cup are clunky, i.e. when I press them I get a "burst stutter." With 2.0.3 I could tap the cup button to keep two 'close but not perfect' loops from drifting. Not with 2.5. The response is no longer fluid, it's like it has to drop into gear with each button trigger.

when you modify an mp3 file with mp3gain for example to make it louder, there is no more the option to update the stripe, in 2.0.3 you would reanalyze the mp3 and the stripe file would update.

Here's a new problem for me. Have had Traktor running flawlessly the last week or so (minus the load meter going red occaisonally, but I don't think that's a bug, but hardware most likely)

happened 2 separate times, once with deck B, then again with deck A

while playing a track on a deck and attempting to switch to the opposite deck my sound drops out completely and the track will not play! It shows its playing, all my controls on my S2 work fine, but there is no sound coming out. Switch the fader back to the opposite deck and its still playing....

In order to get things to work properly again I had to turn off my S2 as well as restart Traktor.

    has happened twice!

    Glitching in Traktor 2.5

    Hi,

So when I have deck 1 playing, I'll press sync on the other deck and cue in the track where I want to, but for some reason deck 2 continuously glitches and is unable to sync properly when I do this. Traktor does this with ALMOST ALL of my tracks. Very few tracks work seamlessly together. So what's the problem? I have the latest version of traktor and I'm running it on the standard "Traktor Kontrol S2" Audio Device.

    Thanks,

    Joey

one i've noticed in 2.5.1 is the search box is really slow .as you type it takes ages for anything to appear and then a long time for the results to show ,which is anoying when your doing a gig and trying to find a track quickly.i've gone back to 2.1.3 where the search feature is almost instant

I guess that's because they're now searching in filenames too (additionally to metadata) whereas this was not done in versions prior to 2.5.
I'm hoping for some optimizations in this area too, searching really got slower with 2.5 for me as well.
Although it's still okay for me compared to some other apps with the same amount of music :)

that would explain it ,but it does need to be sorted out as sometimes you want to do a quick search without having to wait what seems like an age
