    Prep list

Trying to add a track to preparation list. It won't place it next in the list, it either puts it at the top if you select next, or at the bottom if you select append. (which it has always done)

Consistency check seems to take forever with this version too.

    Thanks, Scott

im a little confused between "next" & "bottom"

if i had 7 tracks in the list...wouldnt "next" make track 8 the "bottom" track?

maybe i didn't understand what you are trying to say correctly

Since upgrading to Traktor Scratch Pro 2.5 with vinyl I have been unable to get my Audio 8 to work.

Every time I plug the Audio 8 in my computer (Samsung Series 7 Windows 7 64bit 8gb) it goes to a blue screen and shuts down. Without Audio 8 it works just fine.

Also whenever I try to access service centre, it stops working immediately and won't connect to it.

Aargh... Does anyone know whether it's something I'm doing wrong or bugs with 2.5?

I have now reverted back to Traktor 2.1.3 and my Audio 8 is working, however I still can't get the service centre to open without it shutting down immediately.

even if the first problem is caused by the update...it has nothing to do with service centre since that is a totally separate app

try downloading the latest version from the website

Anyone been keeping tabs and made a comprehensive lists of reported bugs/issues?

Would just be nice to see all issues in one place for anyone to view before updating.

    Cheers.

DJ tech tools has a list, it would be great if NI would keep one here in the forums.

    Mods?

so far the only one i think that can be replicated cross platform & on any setup is the "2nd beatmarker not resetting phase" bug

the traktorbible lists some issues, dunno the djtt article and you wont find me quoting them ever again.

anyways. the "bugs" listed are usually not global (actually, only very few of them are) and even some of the global bgus are totally depending on the workflow you have.

    examples:

    - performance issues. some see them, some not => not a global bug
    - 2nd beatmerker. global bug. i'm using tempo sync with timecode => i will never notice that bug

    again, myself as an example.

imagine me as jane doe thinking about updating: i read xp is not supported anymore. i read about performance issues. i read about beatmarker problems. i decide not to update.

but actually, i'm using 2.5 with timecode plus the f1 and a vms4 hanging on my unsupported xp system using sync, keylock and fx and it runs surprisingly well. i'm live with it.

see how much i'd have benfit from a "buglist"? ;)

so NI has always decided against a list here on the forums, since this list can start more confusion than it helps. especially due to the side-by-side installation, you're having all freedom to test on your machine how well everything goes and then switch. or not.

Yep, same for me too - it's a real pain when adding a large number of tracks to different playlists.

Also, I just imported a number of tracks into my collection and they automatically added themselves to a playlist. I think it was the last playlist I added a track to. I've just tested it again by re-adding a track and it didn't seem to do it this time. Not sure if it will do the same thing the next time I add a brand new track though….anyone else seen this? Makes me nervous about trusting my playlists...

Sounds like your pc is infected
    ---
I've stopped adding tracks into the tsp collection instead I have my folders and subfolders on my desktop I just add tracks to the sub folder and then drag the sub to a playlist this seems to work better and tracks load instantly. I also have my default music directory pointing to a location where I have no music stored.

Any time I update a sub folder I just just drag the whole folder over and run run a consistency check when I make changes. Makes traitor run smoother than hot butter....lol

    Key Lock Pops

I have experienced same in regards to KeyLock Pops. The random pops are low. No matter the latency adjustment does not matter. Also did not have this issue in 2.1.3. Happens even when not pitching. Glad not alone.

    Sorry for the misunderstanding...

If I have 10 tracks in the prep list and 5 is playing with 6 lined up next, if I select something out of the collection and try to add it next, it puts it as track 1.

Using my S4 last night the volume on one of the channel faders was going up and down by itself! I reverted back to an older version of Traktor and it was ok.

Found a real easy to reproduce bug:

Beatmatch two tracks together so that their phases are equal. Set either one of the tracks to be the master, and then stop that track. Now look at the phase of the track of the other track that is still playing. The phase gets thrown off by a slight amount. Even with beat sync on both tracks before you stop it, the phase will still get offset when you stop the master track.

try to re-calibrate your faders...this happened to me a few days ago...it wasn't a bug in my case...fader needed to be re-calibrated

Processor overload unless latency settings are significantly adjusted and even with that random pops regardless of settings and/or unchecking the multicore processor switch (isn't that the point of a $4K computer?)

Additionally, channel LEDS no longer showing orange or red no matter how much added gain i pile on...needless say the audio clips/distorts.

Until I let Traktor reanalyze all my tracks system crashed too many times to count....

    Traktor Pro 2.5, S4, F1
    Macbook Pro 2.36 GHz, 8GM Ram, OS X 10.7.4
The laptop is pretty much for performance only and 90% of the time running just my DJ gear.

I run lots of effects and typically all decks at a time and never had processor "issues" before with running the S4 + Maschine in the previous versions of TP.

Love the F1--already adding some killer things into my sets (now as long as some catastrophe doesn't strike at my gig coming up!).....and love it even more after the glitches are worked out......

The last time I re-calibrated my faders it messed up my whole set up. I had to re-install Traktor and delete my .tsi file meaning my whole library had to be re-analyzed. I would be very wary of doing this :(
