    Hi,

So I am not currently a maschine user but have been thinking about it for a while. With the new controller announcement what interests me most is that I can now grab the MK I controller for really cheap! Do you guys think this is a good idea? Is it confirmed that the older hardware will be fully supported in 1.8 and future updates?

    Thanks

I think its a great idea to buy the mk1. either way its your creativity that makes the music not some rainbow pads or a white maschine. I have a gold maschine, Saint Joe has a SAG maschine does that make our music better? What you create you will create no matter what the colors of the hardware or pads are go for it!

Yes Maschine MK1 is will still be supported with 1.8. The Mk2 has new lights, knob, and screen. Wich in essence really doesnt change much but its still a damn good deal.

    old maschine or new mikro

i bought an 'old' maschine recently, it will have all the functionality of mk2 when 1.8 is released. beyond that who knows, version 2.0 will be the test....
i recommend the mk1 as the price is great, using it feels creative rather than sitting at a computer, and if you put the time in and watch the tutorials it has loads of potential.

in theory the mk 1 and mk 2 will always be peers as there's no actual functional difference between the two, just some slight tweaks, no different functions...

So until something dramatically different comes out the mk 1 will be parallel to the mk 2 and should always run the software fine...

    That's how I see it.

Indeed, if you don't see anything you must have with the new one, get another mk1 while you can :)

    Selling maschine?

Hi. Are you selling maschine and which size is it?

How does that work for the futre. I guess that it will always be a viable midi controller but if I'm right the software will eventually not suit the MK1 controller?

Also how does a person buy over the internet without a 3rd party being involved. And how do you 'own' the maschine in NI's service centres eyes after someone else already has had it.

Sorry to have too many questions and doubts.

Thanks. Aidan. I'll check my email because I want to move quick as the low prive for maschine ends tomorrow. thanks.
