    Hello guys,

I'm a beginner DJ (Djing for a year now) and i'm about to go play at a club and i'm buying music on several places but i have a question.

I found couple of websites that give me the oppertunity to download music for 30 days for 10 euro's ! Is that under the terms legal downloading becouse i payed for it?

Becouse that would be way cheaper then paying 1,30 euro for each song.

I understand that they don't have the latest tracks but i will get them from another site.

Can you guys explain if that is a legal way of downloading music so i don't get any problems in clubs?

    Thanks Guys

    Hi jottem,

Just because you paid for music doesn't make it legal.. Always be careful of what music pool you grab music from. Not all of them distribute legal music! Just be sure to read the fine print of your membership terms..that's the best advice I can give!

I actually work for zipDJ, a legal music pool - I can tell you that our collection IS 100% legal, and sanctioned by music labels directly. We actually have a special running in November as well.. Check us out and if you have any questions I'm more than happy to help answer.

whatever tracks you buy make shure they are not DRM protected, else they won´t play in traktor.

zipDJB. This is your second warning. If you break the rules again more strict measures may be taken.

    Looks moderated to me!

I'm actually glad this topic came up though-- I've always wondered about the music pools. I came across the knowledge of them about two years ago, looked into them quickly, and didn't get a good vibe so I left it to be with other shady musicy things.

I don't want people to post references or links to good/bad ones, because apparently that's bad mojo here (I'm truly not looking to start a troll war with moderators by any means)-- but I think the question of their legitimacy and usefulness remains.

Without posting what you use, do you, as a fellow DJ, make use of record pools in general?

Most of the ones I checked out before had junk for music.

Simply put: Is it worth re-investigating?

    Clarification:

If members wish to share their sources of 'legal' music from such as Promo labels and Pools etc then that is perfectly fine.

What we do not allow is direct marketing from the companies themselves.
The people that have been banned in this thread were representing companies, they weren't genuine members of the forum they were just here to promote.
    This is a rule break.

No bad mojo here dudes, it's all good:D
