Can an external midi controller be used in Maschine?

    I have a Maschine mikro, so if I wanted to control more parameters is it possible to use an external midi controller such a Korg Nanokontrol in Maschine?

    But you can't record in maschine stand alone but as vsti in an daw. Uwe
