    Hey everybody,

I have a dn-hc4500 and my question is if it's possible to make a LED blink in the new HID-support of the dn-hc4500?
At the moment I use 2 midi-mappings. One for my buttons in the HID-support and one generic mapping for my LEDs which I like to blink. This method of working isn't always practical or clearly. So can I make LEDs blink in HID-support? And if it's yes, how?

    THANKS! ;-)

usually blinking Leds have a specific midi control number... just get your controler's midi map and find the relevant control :)

    for HID I don't know

    untested, just an idea :
use a modifier (here M1) and set it to 1 if track is paused.
I think there must be a kind of master tempo output.
Define this output to the cue led, but set the condition M1 =1

i cannot find the "right" master/ tempo output...?

i've tried assigning "master clock > master tempo" and then "tempo > tempo" outputs to a LED just to see if it blinks when i play a track but both doesn't work, the LED doesn't even turn on.... Am i missing something?
Do i have to setup properly anything before assigning?

thanks again for any answers/ ideas guys....

It is a difficult task because from experimenting it seems you have to have to correct control range to make this happen correctly and depending how the output works as well.

I wanted to do this for the end of track warning on my NS7 for the play button so it would start flashing when the end of track period was invoked.

    No luck so far.

hey, i've just noticed that "beat phase monitor" could help

controller range Min: -0.25 Max: 0.25
    midi range 0-127

    untick invert
    untick blend

it seems to detect the tempo alright

@ djquartz, maybe if you combine this with track end warning + modifier somehow?
for example, when the end of track period is invoked, a mod turns to x value and then the LED that you assigned the beat phase monitor to starts blinking (start button for you) ?

EDIT: ahhh, obviously i can't use it in my case, since i want the LED to blink when i pause the track, so there are no beats to monitor.... :(
