I have used traktor since the beginning of time, but most clubs use Serato DJ. The Pioneer DJ DJM-S9 is designed for serato DJ. Only the Pioneer DJM-T1 shows up on the traktor set-up wizard. Is it possible to use the Pioneer DJM-S9 with traktor, if so how?

if you want to use Timecode Vinyl not , you can use the S9 as Midi Mixer you can map all the Buttons on it in Traktor , but Vinyl or CD use is not possible

I suppose you have a traktor audio card or a z2? then i believe if you plug the pioneer mixer into the traktor audio then you will be able to use it with timecodes, but I don't believe that you will have the midi part of the mixer. maybe you will need to map it...but I am not sure if you area able. Or if you have a Z2, then I am positive that you can use it, if you connect the pioneer's output into the Z2's aux input. But still the midi issue is something you will need to solve.

Maybe someone who have tried something similar can tell if I am right??

You can use the usb connection on the S9 with Traktor.

    1. Download and install the S9 driver for your OS from the Pioneer DJ support site

    2. Connect your computer to the S9

    3. Launch traktor. Open the trackor audio settings and select the S9 as your output
Go to the traktor audio routing and map channel 1 to deck A and channel 2 to deck B
    Set to "external" mixing mode

    4. Optional: map the pads in controller manager
Note: you do not need to midi map the mixer functions.

Note, traktor timecode is not supported. You can use Pioneer CDJs in HID mode, or another controller such as an X1

You can use any mixer you like with the Audio 10 and have timecode control with Traktor Scratch Pro.
The S9 will work as a mixer and midi control surface with the A10 as the sound card.

You cannot use the onboard sound card - it has to be Traktor Scratch Certified.
