Can I store host automation parameter assignments?

Using Kontakt 4.2, I've assigned host automation parameters to controls in Scarbee Mark I. Can I store these assignments with the instrument somehow, so they are kept? I noticed that the assignments got stored with the DAW (Reaper) project, but I'd like to keep the assignments for the instrument in general.

I don't think that it can be done within Kontakt, but you might try saving the Kontakt instance as a VSTi patch (.fxp) or a "Reaper preset".

That's one advantage of using Kontakt with NI Kore - in that you can store them.

Thanks, I will certainly look into that.

I was planning to buy Kore 3, so I was pretty disappointed when I found out NI discontinued the product :(

CC assignments get saved, but host automation parameters do not. Why? Because host automation is meaningless for standalone Kontakt instances.

It would seem to me that even though host parameter assignments aren't used in standalone instances, one might as well allow for them to be stored? I don't see any drawback?

That would pretty much break cross-host compatibility, I think, because every host handles automation in their own format.

It's better as it is right now, having just CCs remembered. Trust me. :)
