Can I use the Audio8 as an external sound interface?

Hey everyone, wanted to get some help on this issue as I have tried a bunch of things and nothing seems to be working..

Basically I installed the audio8 on my Acer Apsire One, everything goes ok. Then once I set the output in my sound settings to "Audio 8 DJ (Ch A, Out 1/2)" and put my headphones into the Audio8 there is no sound. The "Out 1/2" indicator on top is on however, should I not hear sound out of the headphone jack as well?

Here are my specs:

Computer: Acer Aspire One Netbook
CPU: 1.6ghz
Memory: 1.00 GB
OS: Windows XP Professional SP3
Soundcard: Audio 8 DJ

Maybe the Audio8 doesnt work in this way? Help!

Headphone out is 7/8.

 

I had a thread about this also, support didnt help me out as I wished. I cant still get any sound out of my laptop when I use Audio 8 as an default soundcard/interface...

Does anyone have settings to xp soundevices, or how u route sound. I tried everything myself...

You will not get the sound out of the laptop speakers from the Audio 8. You need monitors or headphones.
