i'm using an external mixer, but how can i show the built in mixers on the screen too, is it possible? i'd really like the options those give me too.... i'd like to use both, without having to choose one or the other... is this possible??? maybe a simple question for experiened users, but i have no idea.... thank you for a response.

Not sure why you would want to use both the internal mixer and an external one but I would guess that your external mixer lack kill buttons for the eq's and that you really want them and/or that you want access to the built in effects in Traktor.

Anywho, the good news are that there is a way to use both the internal and an external mixer at the same time.
The bad news are that this is a workaround of sorts and not a normal Traktor function so not all features of the internal mixer can be used.
For instance the internal faders won't work (both cross and channel), no master effects, all pre-listening must be done on the external mixer, you can only use two channels and the kills only work in Pioneer 600 or Ecler NUO4 mixer emulation (not in the classic mixer).

If you can live with these limitations this is how you do it:
(Note: Channel 1 and 2 refer to the channels on the external mixer and channel A and B refer to the channel of the internal mixer.)

    1. Set Traktor to two channel internal mixer mode.
    2. Hook up the master out from your sound-card to channel 1.
    3. Hook up the monitor out from your sound-card to channel 2.
    4. Set the channel fader for channel A to full.
    5. Set the channel fader for channel B to closed.
    6. Set the internal cross fader to center.
    7. Turn the Ph Mix knob all the way counter-clockwise.
    8. Enable pre-listening on channel B by pressing the Cue button on the internal mixer.
    9. Adjust the output level from channel B so it is the same as the output level of channel A.
(This adjustment is made with the internal mixer's headphone volume knob.)
    10. Now channel A is playing in channel 1 and channel B plays at the same volume into channel 2.
    11. Play and have fun! ;-) But remember not to touch the channel faders, the crossfader, the cue buttons or the Ph Mix knob on the internal mixer. Channel eq's, kills and effects works just fine though.

    There you have it! :-D

ah ok... yes, thank you for the input... yeah, my external mixer is pretty much the cheapest you can buy, not all that great... yes, i just thought it might be easier sometimes to kill the treble or other sounds,,,, but,,, i like the feel of an external mixer (of course)...

thanks, that's exactly what i was wanting to know ;)...
