I'm seeing a lot of this lately. Where are all these guys coming from and why do they think they can get support on the forums run by the very people they're ripping off?

There have been a few unfortunate cases where people come on here thinking they got a legit deal from some tool "friend" and then have been told "sorry dude, your copy isn't legit, you're screwed till you own the proper set". Sucks to be those guys but they should also have done some reading.

If you can't afford to play the game, you better sit on the sidelines. Leave the DJing to those who are committed to it. If you wanna be a bedroom jock with cracked software or shady hackjob setups, what makes you think you deserve the same support as those of us who paid the price for the software and spent the time reading up on what is actually required to own this stuff? I'm not debating that the price can be prohibitive, but guess what, you gotta pay the cost to be the boss. Microsoft won't get on the phone with you and fix your Windows problem if you call them and tell them you downloaded it from a Torrent site for free...

I like the "USB to Audio Crystal Blue Sound Card". :D
Is there also a firewire version?
Can I use it with 4 decks?

No it works with the hidden 8-deck easter egg. Guess YOU should have read more!

As for a firewire version, just take a regular USB cable and jam it into your firewire400 port. It'll work just fine. Don't worry those sparks and that weird noise coming from your speaker just mean that you're a pro now.

I would like a serial related account to access the forums.
To seperate the men from the boys. (No offence girls)

BTW, whats wrong with my soundcard?

    **EDITED FOR SERIOUS ANSWERS**

Yes, a serial-related login would be perfect, at least those who don't own legit versions of the software can't get in to waste anyone's time.

Also what IS wrong with your soundcard? Unless of course you have the one I posted a link to earlier.

Bad mood today? That was really unnessesary, methinks. And not even funny.

You complain here, I think you have a point, so I think of a solution. What the hell is your problem, man?

Back on topic: how else you gonna know the difference who paid for the software?

What? I'm actually in a great mood; sorry that was a failed attempt at humour. Serious man, I post the exact same phrase all the time, I guess it's worn off and I didn't think you were actually serious....my bad.

Let's try again at a later date. Meantime I've changed my previous post cause I'm an idiot and Marc just happened to be on the receiving end of my stupidity.

I do own Traktor Scratch Pro as a result of my (LEGIT) purchases of Traktor Scratch and Traktor3. After I got TSP I decided I wanted two timecode setups to go with my dual-computer license so I bought a Mackie d.2 Pro which died. Since Mackie are morons, I took it back to the DJ store and bought what I should have gotten - the Korg Zero4. Now I have two macbooks, two timecode setups, and two cats that love to chew on the lift arms of my cartridges. Also I am bereft of dignity and pants.

Well im taking this serious question about the cracked versions, and i think that NI could take care of one little big thing, only who have purchased NI Products shoud have permission to make a registration on the forum so they can post they doubts, and create a subforum for possible buyers make thers posts about Exp. Laptop to buy, soundcard in case of TP, TSP best soundcard for what they need too and others things and have a full managment of the suposed sub forum, questions that dont deserve to be on that forum must be deleted immediately. How can this be done its when the owners of NI Products made a registration on the forum should tipe on a field what prod they own and the serial on it, this is will take more time to the activation was made since NI was gonna to check if is all correct Product/Serial, or use the same tipe of login as used on NI Service Center.
PS: I see that some forum are listed as Forum Member(as me) and others as NI Product Owner, i think if that sub forum can not be created NI should take care of that thing about NI Prod. Owner/Member and require that all NI Prod. Owners have that "tag".

Not to 'call out' our friends at DJTT, but this thread went on for quite a while there...it's an interesting read (to say the least)...

I disagree. This will keep prospective owners out if they've not bought the product yet. That would be lame, because lots of us get the real information on forums.

Well then perhaps the best way is to create a "prospective" members section where people can ask general info questions and tech stuff is restricted to a section where you have to have a valid serial number to ask more specific stuff.

This is the hard part for companies who are often pirated. How do you keep the legit users higher-priority?
