Please someone let me know if I'm missing something. I searched for a post on this but haven't found anything relating.

I spent all yesterday evening importing a couple thousand presets and doing some cursory attribute tagging for impOSCar, Rob Papen Blue and Predator. After I realized the import function only imports the current bank, I went through and loaded each bank to the VST and then did the import. This took a long time.

And now that I have all these presets in Kore, guess what? Loading one of my imported presets does not actually load the PATCH into the SYNTH. It merely loads the synth and calls program change to whatever NUMBER the patch was in the bank. I don't expect it to load an entire bank, but I thought it was actually saving the patch data somehow, not just the preset number within the bank.

Am I interpreting this correctly? 'Cause if so, then, the import feature is completely worthless. Not only that but false advertising. If I can only pull up the default bank then all I can import is 36 sounds for impOSCar, 32 for Blue, and 128 for Predator.

As I'm writing this I thought I'd try it out with Photone. Now, it seems to work properly. A patch from a different bank will load the proper bank first. So this makes me wonder. . is it sending a bank change and a program change? Why does it work for Photone and not for Blue or Predator. Imposcar only has one lousy bank of 36 patches built in, so I can see why it might be a problem. But this still makes me question the usefulness of Kore's import if it can't actually load a sound from an outside bank.

Hmmm, while I'm trying other synths. . Dimension Pro and Rapture don't import any presets.

Double click twice on the .ksds for Blue and Predator; it's a known issue with how Jon implements edit buffers.

The impOSCar thing's a known issue, sorry to say.

Hey you're right. The second time I double-click a Predator patch it loads the correct sound. The name on the synth doesn't change so its a bit hard to know which one is which. But, its a lot better than nothing. Cool. Thanks for the tip.

Strangely enough z3ta+ imported all 765 at once. Hmmm, now that the patch browser is over 5000. . maybe I should stop worrying about patches and start sequencing something already!
