I cannot change the reverb for the preset "MKI Butterfly Hancock". The reverb is always full open and cannot be changed.

I explained this problem to the hotline last year in may already. I really want to use this preset, but I can't with all the reverb. This is really annoying.

As the problem has been known and persistent for such a long time, couldn't you just create a patch for that problem?

    Regards,

Are you using the patch inside EP or inside Kontakt? If Kontakt, what version?

Send me the NKI file and I'll adjust it for you.

I'm using it inside of EP. I will look for the file as soon as I come home today. Thanks.

I only found a ksd-File and saved a new EP performance as nkb-File, too. Hope, this helps.

Unfortunately I can't edit a KSD file. Can you search your hard drive for Butterfly Hancock.nki?

I couldn't find a Butterfly Hancock.nki, but isn't that the kontakt file format? I don't use kontakt for that.

Yes, it's a Kontakt file format. I can edit the Kontakt file, but not the Kore file.

I'm almost positive there should be an NKI file for this somewhere, in the Elektrik Piano Library folder. Have you thoroughly scanned your disks for it?

David, is it possible that Kontakt can just read the EP files as they are and once saved from Kontakt, then become .NKI files? I have loaded that very file in Kontakt and am using it and did adjust several things in it to my liking.

As David said, they're .nkis- that's EP's native format as well as Kontakt's. Look in your instruments folder in your EP library folder.

You were right, I didn't look in the right folder. Spotlight didn't find it, too. But finally, here it is...

This is a well known bug in EP since version 1.5 and had been confirmed by a phonecall w/ NI support last year. You´ll find more patches in EP 1.5 instruments ( I forgot which ) w/ similar behaviour, but not all related to reverb but EQ p.ex..
"Mk 1 Butterfly Hancock" reverb is adjusable in earlier versions of EP but broke w/ version 1.5.

@Kay Boarder: As you say it, it's been known by NI since last year. Why isn't there a single fix since then? It's a very annoying bug and can't be to difficult to fix.

@David Das: I attached the File, it would be great if you could fix it for me. Thanks.

Sorry I'm just now getting to this. I just realized that if you are using EP 1.5, I may not be able to fix it for you, because it probably requires Kontakt 1.5.

I have Kontakt 2 and Kontakt 3, but if I use either of those to tweak it, your version of EP will likely reject it because it's been saved by a newer version of the engine. I'm not sure of a way around this, as I no longer have a copy of Kontakt 1 around.

Just found out that EP will be discontinued so I'll have to use it in KONTAKT anyway. I have KONTAKT 3.5, so it should be possible to adjust the patch, if I can open it in this version then.
