you might have to be abit more clear. Will traktor not detect the bpm of tracks you are loading? Will it not detect bpm of something you have recorded in traktor? will it not record at all? Not sure which of these you are asking

I get this on tracks that are very short (30 secs or so) as well as tracks with very flat waveforms...ambient tunes.

obviously, traktor cant determine any recording, b/c you didnt record anything or why is it that your recordings are "blank"?

I have the same problem too, I'm trying to import a loop in TSP and then I get the error: cannot detect BPM due to missing transients! Please analyze first.

So I selected the files and clicked analyze (in the traktor browser), then I get the same error. I also tried putting in the beatgrid manually, but it will only allow me to set a BPM, not a beatgrid. Anyone knows how to deal with this?

PS: I am running TSP 1.2.6. on a windows vista laptop.

this thread might be helpful here:

    http://www.native-instruments.com/forum/showthread.php?t=106596

...on the upside, it just means that it couldn't detect bpm. on the downside, the messaging gives the impression that something really bad has happened with the red flashing bar at the bottom of the screen!

i think a message with more of a "thought you might be interested to know about this" would have been more appropriate instead of the "danger, will robinson!" message.

oh well. i hope traktor interaction designers are listening.
