Cannot get software set up on OS 10.10

I've just bought a Z2 and I cannot get the software set up.

I have a macbook air running OS X Yosemite 10.10. It's an old laptop and I cannot update my OS.

I followed the instructions in the box, and downloaded scratch pro, complete with service centre etc. This didn't work as service centre wouldn't update. After wasting an hour or so trying to fix the problem I googled it and only then found the information that I should now use Native Access and not the service centre.

I tried downloading Native Access only to see that my OS was too old to download it.

After more googling I found the link to download an older version of Native Access which is now installed. (1.5.1)

I've tried running Traktor 2.11.0, but it won't allow me to get out of Demo mode as it wants to open Service Centre to input my serial (when I tried inputting the serial number into service centre it does not recognise it anyway.)

I updated to Traktor 2.11.3, and I've put my serial number into Native Access where it was accepted, but when I open Traktor it is still stuck in demo mode and refers me back to Native Access.

I know I have a slightly older machine but I've wasted two hours on this already today, installing, uninstalling, restarting, reading (out of date) guides on the link that was supplied to me in the box, trying to google and go through these forums to find a solution, and getting very frustrated. I'm sure I'm not the only person who has this problem so it could be helpful to put the information somewhere of what to do with older operating systems.

What do I need to do to get this to work?

First, where did you buy this? Is it used or new? Before you bought it, did you check minimum system requirements? ( which is Mac OS 10.12)

 

The mixer was bought brand new. I've not seen a mention of minimum system requirements when looking at most stores pages about the mixer, but of course it could have been an idea to research further on that. That said, I've found the software that NI have said will work with my OS on other posts on here, but the problem is this version of Native Access isn't talking to this version of Traktor as its suggested it should.

Thanks for the suggestions. I found those help sites earlier but hadn't realised it was possible to contact support at the end so I'll give it a go. Bit of a frustrating afternoon going around on the forums today so thanks for your help and wish me luck
