    Hello all,

I just got Maschine...and I'm really diggin it. I have been using the sampling function a lot, and I can't figure out how to monitor the incoming signal, basically I can't hear what I am sampling until after it is on the pads.. Here is my set up

I use protools and Logic so I have a DIGI002 interface. I have my Ipod plugged into the 002 via RCA inputs 7-8 . I have to hit the "ALT SOURCE 7-8" button on the front of the 002 to get the signal. OK so I set up maschine's routing to input 7/8 and bam, the left and right bars start jumping on the Maschine display.

So the signal is coming in, but I CAN'T HEAR IT. I hit the record button on maschine and then stop after a few secs, and hit the pad, and VIOLA the sample is there loud and clear. So how come I can't hear it on the way in?

Also, How do I change maschines inputs while in Plug in mode, so I can sample right in Protools or logic?

in logic to sample you set your side chain to the audio inputs you wanna sample from.
as for through put monitoring.... it's not a feature of maschine

Hey thanks for the sidechain info, perfect Idea.

As for not being able to hear what your sampling while you are sampling, that's just stupid!

    Oh,

I didn't mean you were stupid btw. I just meant that not having that feature is pretty stupid.
