I have just started recording guitar in Maschine (previously I had been using Sonar), and I can't hear the metronome. In Preferences, I've selected 1/4, enabled it, turned the volume up full, and when I press shift + record, it "counts in", but I can't hear it. Dead Silence. At the end of the "count in", the percussion tracks I've created come on, and I can record just fine.

The metronome icon is enabled, of course.....

I just can't hear the metronome!! (Maschine MkII, Maschine 2.0.2). Does anyone else have this issue?

Update: I just discovered that for some reason the upbeat and downbeat samples are not selected (for some reason, the directory was set to User Sample directory). Where are the default samples for the metronome located, and what are they?

Update: I went to the factory library and selected a couple of samples (Tom and Bongo) as downbeat and upbeat, and it didn't correct the problem - dead silence....

i think you have to press shift play and it should play throughout the pattern

Everything works as expected, transport-wise, including the count-in. I just can't HEAR the metronome. The pattern plays back just fine....

Interesting: the metronome works fine with a new project. I was trying to use it on a new track in a second bank of groups in an old project, with the first bank muted. Further investigation is indicated; there may be a bug. Stay tuned....

Update: The issue seems to be specific with that particular project for some reason. The metronome works fine with new projects, and also projects loaded from the Factory Library. I tried deleting all the groups in my project (essentially giving a new project), and the metronome still didn't work. Will soldier on....

The metronome is routed to the cue bus and cue volume fader. Maybe you had it turned down.

Thanks b-righteous. It wasn't turned down, but it wasn't set to master (it was set to output 4).... Changing it back to master fixed it.

Hi Guys - B always on time. What is the navigation that routes the Metronome to the cue....?

Is this is simply the Metronome volume slider found in preferences.....? I have the what appears the be the same challenge where the metronome oddly stopped working. It works on new projects but not the original project. Volume is up in preferences but no sound is rendered and the metronome on indicates is enabled. Sure it's something simple just scratching my head...?

It's the CUe output, the routing destination for which is located on the Output tab of the Master's Channel properties.
