Really shocked this issue has not been addressed for this long.

Another update (5.7.3) and no progress. Could anybody explain why it is so hard to implement "Add/import library" for previously downloaded libraries? Isn't it so ridiculous to force Komplete's users to download tons of samples again without any reason? Or advice like "download older version of Kontakt" - this could be a temporary solution, not the final answer. No, this issue hasn't been solved.

Considering all above - why people from NI show so much disrespect for their customers?

Same problem here. Luckily, I just installed Komplete 11, and added almost all of the libraries before Kontakt got updated. But I missed 'The Giant' and no way to add it without the 4 gb download....

With SOLVED issues like this, who needs bugs. But complaining to NI is like stopping a train with a BB gun. whatever. Never liked that piano much anyway, I won't miss it.

this is what NI support told me as per reply:

"The latest version of Kontakt changed the way the libraries are added. The easiest workaround is to downgrade Kontakt to version 5.6.6 which you can download here:

    https://www.native-instruments.com/en/support/downloads/update-manager/?q=kontakt+5&t=updates

Then try to add the library as before, using the ADD LIBRARY feature:

    https://support.native-instruments....mple-Library-in-KONTAKT-5-6-6-or-Lower-VIDEO-

Once you have successfully added the library, you can update Kontakt back to the latest if necessary via Native Access.

As mentioned in another thread just now, downgrading to an earlier version of Kontakt does not work for me. Native Access clearly is a step backwards in technology and a bad move for NI. What makes it worse is the fact you can't use Service Center to install vsts anymore..

Service Center is deprecated and won't be used any longer, except for legacy products.

Yeah, I can't install any products with service center at the moment. So currently Native Access isn't working as I can't import my Kontakt libraries from K10. The only support articles advising to install an earlier version of Kontakt does not work.

You'd think they'd have a working product before discontinuing one that people rely on. Massive fail there from Native Instruments.

"KONTAKT 5.8 introduces much-requested improvements to the Libraries tab" (a quote from NI's newsletter).

The sense of humour of these guys is really funny.

But hey, you can now search for libraries and order them alphabetically with a single click! And adding a library now requires an extra click too, and still takes you to Native Access! Apparently more clicking is exactly what the composers needed...

    I'd say this isn't "SOLVED"... its a work-around.
Libraries need to live on external drives and those ultimately need replaced.
Downloading the ENTIRE library isn't an option for some....like me, who live in a rural area with slow internet speeds.
This is a simple issue...we could do this at one time....add the feature back and earn some customer service points NI!

    Native Instruments,

Fix your **** already. It's ridiculous how it's been over a year and a half since you've pushed out your useless update, and I still have to downgrade Kontakt to an older version just to add libraries from a different directory, then upgrade it again to use Komplete Kontrol. I swear, you guys are worse than Apple.

absolute nightmare... just upgraded and now can't access all my libraries which are on an external hard drive . downgraded to a previous version of kontakt and just get "your version of kontakt is too old to load this file "

Just upgraded to a new computer and I have all of my NI on a second internal SSD. Native access can't see any of my NI products even after changing the location in preferences...it makes no difference. So here I am downloading half a terabyte. What a sick joke this is.

Really despise this whole process. I too have wasted so many hours, trying idiotic things like de-upgrading, re-upgrading. Native Instruments should really be embarrassed and the moderator(s?) who minimize this problem should check out their conscience. You're not helping by saying 'alls fine'.
