Cant connect x1 mk2 to existing setup

    im struggling to setup my mk2 x1 controller to my tractor pro setup on my macbook pro (early 2011)
    i previosly used a mk1 x1 with the laptop with my djm850 and either con roll cds or vinyl with it. it has been a few years on and recently purchased some plx1000 to get back into it and also a mk2 x1 control but unto now have no joy
    iv tried to get a driver from native pages and my mac says it needs updating
    iv tried to update to high sierra which my mac says would accept but then the apple app store says software is damaged
    Would it be that i need to update tractor pro?
    or is there another driver that would work with mac OS X yosemite 10.10.5 which is currently using?
    Tried quite a few options so any help would be appreciated
