Can't download expansion packs

okay it seems to be working again - well maybe because i happen to be in Oslo today and not London :lol:

Conant Gardens is now seen as the Latest Release - i bought it and it downloaded with no problems.

the other day Vintage Heat gave me the same errors that have been reported. i 'Reloaded' it and and downloaded for Free.

please can you all try again and see if it works for you now.

if you are still having problems, it would be interesting for me to know which country you are in when you try to purchase/download.

lets hope NI test more rigorously the next time they release a Soundpack!

Well well , yep there it is ! Downloaded without a problem . Have to wait till I get home to purchase the $59.00 Contant Gardens for my maschine , fingers crossed , USA .

 

It's working now for me as well. Just purchased Conant Gardens on the Ipad! I'm in the US. Thanks Sowari!

 

Working Again

I opened a ticket with the App store and Native Instruments over this one on Monday and I've been talking to tech reps from both sides. I don't know if it was my communication and badgering or someone else's efforts, but as of late this morning (CST in USA) they got it working. I hope that everyone sees what I see at this point and is able to get their expansion packs now!

Has anyone heard about being able to download the expansion packs cuz I paid for both the Drop Squad and Swagg city expansion packs and It still wont download. If anyone can help me and I'd greatly appreciate it

 

Still cannot download expansions

Just tried to purchase Swagg City and Helios, paid for them and kept getting 'Download Failed' Tried many, many times, and discovered that I had been billed for each ATTEMPT. Apple (Australia) refunded straight away, but said the problem was with NI. NI said the problem was with Apple. I still cannot download the expansions, and I cant really keep trying because of the charging issue. Has this happened to anyone else?

 

I'm having the same problem trying to download Swagg City but I haven't been charged multiple times.

 

Same here... in-app store told me I had already paid, but never started to download anything. Now I got a bill from the app-store.. charged multiple times for expansions I already bought and still no expansions in the app. Such a great app.. really sad to have it ruined by bugs like these

EDIT: got a refund for yesterdays fails. now I could successfully download every expansion except for "electronic vice" and "kaoz theory"... hope the store won't charge me again for trying to download them If it makes any difference: my apple-ID seems to work only for the german app-store.

 

I'm having the same problem. Contacted NI technical support and they told me to contact apple stating any error message is on apples end.

Contacted apple and was told to contact the 3rd party developer which is native instruments. I'll try one more time with NI. If I'm told its apples problem I'm going to request a refund from apple which didn't sound like that would be a problem.

I know it's only a few dollars here and there but if it doesn't work the companies got to figure it out. I don't care whose problem it is.

Just got off the phone with NI and they suggested I turn off wifi and use cell 3/4G. Nope. That's not gonna happen. I'm not using my paid data usage to get these expansion packs. They are emailing me a ticket number and looking into it supposedly.

I actually think the expansion packs may be coming in. Just very slowly even though it shows an error message that download failed. If its slow its not my connection. I get 20 GB download. Plus when I bought these for iPod they downloaded no problem.

I'm beginning to think its the very limited bandwidth provided by native instruments to distribute the packs. But what do I know.

The only thing I know is it won't be my problem if I'm shuffled back and forth between companies.

I also notice when I start up the app my wifi is constantly being accessed. Which makes me wonder if they are still trying to download in the background? Which also makes me wonder if I leave wifi, use the app, is it going to use my 3/4G to constantly download. That would be very bad. Wonder how many people's data usage gets used up because of this and leaves them scratching their head wondering how they used so much data on their 3/4G.

 

Same here not able to download any of the packs I paid for after trying numerous times.They get so far & stop.Don't think I'm getting charged for the multiple tries but frustrating to have paid for something & not getting it.seems to be a throwback to 1994 downloading,hahah.Suppose I'll just keep trying as the last thing I want is to have to engage in dialogue with neither apple or ni.:angry:

 

I guess the problem has resurfaced again , having difficulties down loading Dirty Knock . It gets to the half way point then quits . Dont know if the other expansion packs are doing the same .

 

just an update , i was able to download the dirty pack last night .

 

If you are having issues downloading expansion packs follow these instruction:
1: go into Settings.
2: go to "General" Tab in Settings.
3: go to "Auto-Lock" Tab (in between Spotlight Search and Passcode Lock).
4: set "Auto-Lock" to NEVER.
5: Now go back to the iMaschine app and try downloading the expansion pack and make sure you do not put the iPhone to sleep.
6: for the best results, use WiFi or 4gLTE when downloading.

Im getting some static interference , for trying to download static friction , keep getting , fail fail fail and fail again .It downloads a quarter of the way then quits . Im on a strong wifi connection , using a ipod 5 .

 

Make sure you go into settings and turn auto-lock to never, then try downloading again and DO NOT let the phone go into sleep mode.

Yea numbdrum I already tried that , it just simply gives up like the quarter of the way . I'm just surprised I'm the only one having this problem with this expansion pack .

 

update after 80 some trys it finally loaded (happy times) Curious thing happened though after making a beat with the sound pack , i tried to upload it to sound cloud and they didnt allow because of copy infringement ! wth ? i used a few of the voice sounds , could this be the reason or is it something else ?
