I used to be able to do this, and I've seen youtube videos explaining it, but when I'm
in the 'Libraries' view of Kontakt, whether standalone or VST, I try to drag libraries
up and down in the stack, but they show no indication that I'm even trying. This
is the view where the colorful artwork banners are in a stack on the left side. I
can't change the order with a drag and drop like I think I should be able to. Is
    there even another way?

    Version 5.81 (R 43)

    Thanks

In K6 at the top of the browser (when "Libraries" is selected) there is an A-Z button next to the Manage Libraries button. Turning this off allows custom sorting otherwise it is pre-sorted alphabetically.. I am not sure there is a corresponding feature in K5, but you might want to check the documentation.

Edit: And to answer your question, yes you should be able to drag and drop in K5...based on this...

5.8 was a later release, so they may have added the A-Z thing in an update?
