Cant find replacement 40W Power Supply for the S8

Ive tried buying it on this site, says its in stock but wont to go in to my cart. Tried buying it on other sites, they're all on backorder or out of stock. I use my controller for work so i need to be able to use it, but i onyl have an 18W power supply. Does anyone know why its not letting me buy it on this site or where i can get a replacement one? Even if its not NI brand, i just need it to work.

 

Out of curiosity I just tried and managed to add one to my cart and proceed through the order process - I didn't actually complete the order but sounds like I got further than you managed, but there were warning of delays in shipping from Europe to the UK due to COVID-19 and Brexit.

Maybe there is a bug with the NI website - have you tried using a different web browser (I was using Chrome on a Mac)?

Also, it could be a website issue affecting users from the US (your profile indicates you live in Denver). Not much use to you but I found stock at other UK online sites.

Have you tried contacting Native Instruments as I am sure they would help?

If you have to go third party for a solution, my take on this is - there are adapters on Amazon/eBay that will support the min voltage and current required and have inner positive polarity, and include adapters that will allow you to select the right sized connector. I suspect (but not 100% sure) the connector size NI use is a common one used by CCTV systems and LED strip light kits - an inner diameter of 2.1mm and outer diameter of 5.5mm, but it could be 25mm/5.5mm.

I think contacting NI would be the best thing!
