    Hey guys,

have been playing with TSP2 and the Audio 10 all day, loving it so far :) However I am missing a few features, which I can't find in the manual or the recent forum topics:

    1) What happened to the "Assign deck to Scratch Control" feature? This is a great way for people with only one or two decks to play 4 songs, but now I don't see it anymore. The 2.0.1 update does mention "New Input Splitting feature allows multiple decks to use one external input", but I can't find any reference to it in the software, nor any way to use MIDI to assign an input to a different deck.

    2) Is it possible to switch an input between line and phono while Traktor is running? The only way I found was to use the Audio 10 Control Panel, but it disconnects the sound card from Traktor (yet meanwhile the sound card continues to work with other software, so I'm wondering why it has to be disconnected in the first place?).

Other than that it would of course be nice to be able to use the Audio 10 without the power supply, perhaps by disabling the 5th channel or 2 phono pre-amps (or both), but I guess that's a long shot :)

    Thanks in advance.

I have no Idea why they took this feature out.
Being able to control any/all 4 decks w/one controller while still having the ability to switch any deck to a LIVE input is absolutely crucial to Vinyl DJ's.

Now, thy give you the option to have an input on any/all decks but if that deck is a controller and you switch to live guess what you'll get?

The old way was better because having more options=better.
I guess there was this mass outpouring for being able to have 1 input on all decks...

Between this feature, Taking away the globalview settings and making it a choice option and the removal of Native Mix I don't understand how constantly removing features, they can keep calling these upgrades...

Thanks for the reply. I indeed figured you could probably still do this by switching the input to a different deck, but I haven't yet figured out if you can also do that using MIDI (maybe with Mixer > Input Select?). Having to change it with the mouse is just annoying.

I have also since figured out that the answer to my second question is to use the Audio 10 Control Panel from outside of Traktor. That way it happily continues to work while you switch inputs between line and phono. Why it's disconnected when opening the control panel from within Traktor (Preferences > Audio Setup > Settings) is a mystery to me.

Ok there is a little confusion here so let me just clear this up.
You can absolutely control all the decks w/ one (Timecode) controller .
The difference is that in the previous Traktor it had the "Assign Decks" ABCD which would allow your controller to control 1-4 decks.
    NOW,
You have to assign the controller to multiple inputs which allows control of the decks but takes away said input.

Here's an example of before and after.
    BEFORE:
    1- Controller CD controlling 4 decks(ABC&D Selected)
1- ZERO 4 Traktor Cert. Mixer
    2- 1200's for live vinyl (Ch1 & Ch2 on the Mixer)
You would just switch deck A or B to live and you would have your vinyl come through w/ access to Traktor FX.

    NOW:
1- Controller CD controlling 4 decks (Input 123&4 Selected)
1- ZERO 4 Traktor Cert. Mixer
    2- 1200's for live vinyl (Ch1 & Ch2 on the Mixer)
You cannot have the Vinyl live because if you do you get the timecode sound from the controller.
You have to switch the vinyl inputs on the mixer to phono. The downside is when you do this it does not go through Traktor so you get NO FX.

So basically, the new setup does allow 1 controller to control all decks but does not allow the controller and a live input on the same deck.

Would this be possible using an S4 and Technics 1200?

(Edit) As I'd like a scratching deck.... the jog wheels just don't cut it.

Thanks Royal Tee. I still dont get it? How can my input 2 control decks a,b,c,d with out accessing preferences. Before I could simply click on the record/turntable icon and viola I would be using timecode control.
    Can this still be achieved.

Most likely since the S4 has it's own setup in the settings and in it has the AB/CD or AC/BD configuration...haven't tested the S4 w/ a live input so I can't confirm for sure.

Turn on your PM and PM me so I can help you out there. Once we get you on track you can post the results otherwise it'll get messy in here :p

But basically you have to first set the 1200's input up as a controller (I am assuming you are using Vinyl controller) by setting every input to receive the 1200's input (ch 2 in your case)

THIS IS TERRIBLE! I've been wrestling with making my xone 4D record all 4 decks external using that method by unselecting a deck, allowing me to run timecode over the channel AND traktor could post fader record my mix. Ooooooohhhhhuuuuuu NI this is the real first time I can actually say I'm genuinely disappointed.

Yep, I'm surprised this hasn't been talked about more. That's another change they made that forces a setup istead of giving the user options.

I've noticed that lately, Removing options and adding "features" that are barely used while totally avoiding features that have been requested for years. :S

You mean like the coloured waveforms. One of the top 3 most requested features for a long time. Also the temposync behaviour which is how T3 worked. Endless feature requests to bring it back.
