Hi guys...bought the rig today....everything is fine..except cant get the foot controller to work....when I depress the channel 2 button....I get loud hum/buzzing.....which modulates when I depress each foot switch...ie..when I rock the expression pedal..the humming goes louder/quieter..also, when I hit the other pedals..there is audible high-pitch hums at different frequencies.
I have a Terra tec DMX 6 fire card Asio 2..low latency....and am using it as a standalone at the mo...Cubase SX..when I get the darn thing working.
I have both "out 1 and 2 " connected to left and right ins on my soundcard..and my channel 2 button is "out"(set to ctr). I only get the correct sounds, when I unplug one of the connections to the front of my sound card...when I plug the other phono back in(like the manual says)I get the loud humming.
My foot controller is lit up..so is defo on!
In order for the foot control to work..both outs have to be connected to 2 "ins" on my soundcard..right? One line is for the guitar sound..the other carries the signal for the foot control to work?
On the software interface..rig control needs to be pressed to "on"

What does my "channel" switch need to be at?..also, what do I need to do in "preferences"..I reckon this is where it is going wrong

    Cheers for any help guys

    Regards

    Neil T

    Hi Neil,

You are hearing the hum sound because you haven't got the correct channel selected in Guitar Rig. You should have Rig Kontrol turned on and select either the L or R button (channel) based on the way you have your ctrl 'in' going to your sound card. You probably just need to select the 'other' channel to get it to work properly. So if you have the Right channel selected - try selecting Left.

You will also hear the pedal tones if you have 'direct monitoring' setup on your PC's audio interface.

    Neilot,
Did you get this to work in the end? I have exactly the same soundcard and exactly the same problem you describe. Please let me know how you resolved it.

    Thanks!
