can't load multi error

please help ... I have reinstalled the program several times.
the instrument names apear in the lower cells but will not load into the upper cells.From what I have read I know it is not a library location issue. My system far the exeeds the requirements. Every time the program loads I get the can't load multi message. I know the wav files are present as I can play the files when I open there folders.someone please help before I lose all my hair thanks

hm, the fact that the instrument names appear in the lower part, do indeed indicate that the library position is known to Bandstand.

the multi is called GM.nkm and should be in the Bandstand Library/Default folder.

one thing I realized is that Bandstand will not load any patches if the audio interface is not found. did you doublecheck your settings in File - Audio/MIDI Setup/Soundcard?

I have tried every conceivable audio configuration to no avail.
The file you mentioned is there.Sampletank,Battery and other plugins work fine. Too bad i was really wanting to use bandstand. Any other ideas Thanks. When I run the audio simulation test in the asio conf. menu it says all is well.
