Can't see all instruments in Komplete Kontrol Tab: SOLVED!

Hi Guys,


Just got a Kontrol S61 and upgraded my Komplete to 10 Ultimate. I am having a problem seeing all the instruments in Komplete Kontrol instrument section. Abbey Road 60 drums and West africa drums is missing (i think some more may be missing). They appear in Maschine and work fine but not in Kontrol. I can load them from the file tab and they work fine but any idea how I get the in the Ni tab library like all the other instruments with pretty pictures.

Ps I'm a Mac user.

 

Have you run the Service Center recently?

They are still updating their products to make them compatible with the new KK software. Not all products have been updated yet, I guess that's quite a lot of work.

did you run the updates in Kontakt before using them in Komplete Kontrol?

Thanks for your reply. I updated all items which required updating via the service centre before I installed Komplete 10 Ultimate and Kontrol. I have also just checked the service centre since installing KU10 and KKS and no updates are required. I have Maschine studio which all the new instruments etc. are showing in and working fine. I can load the missing items if I go onto the file tab and find them in NI folders (I have not moved anything from the specific folders). My OS is 10.9.5 (13F34).

 

but have you run them in Kontakt Standalone?

Your help is much appreciated. I have opened every instrument (Kontact, FM8 etc. ect.) in stand alone mode. Kontact did find some new samples. I then opened KKS and still some missing items. When I did a rescan in KKS it still can't find Abbey Road 60 drums. As per my previous post I can work around this by going into file tab and finding them that way but it would be nice if all the pictures appeared in the library. Also I've just noticed that Kontact and Reactor are not in the libray either.

 

I've had similar behavior during the latest updates. Some libraries didn't show up (Rise & Hit), but after a while it did. Maybe you have not only to open Komplete Kontrol and Kontakt before doing it in your DAW, but also restart after each update.

I am in the process of reinstalling K10U just incase. I found this http://www.native-instruments.com/e...mplete-user-content-for-komplete-kontrol-mac/ in the knowledge base. When I look in the files there was nothing in the sounds or kits which may be the problem. Has anyone else done this. Does it work?

So I have removed and reinstalled K10U and still have the same problem. K10U works perfect in my Maschine studio. All instruments are working but KKS61 still does not show some items. Have e-mailed NI to see if they can help.....

Thanks for your concerns Sowari. It works in a round about fashion but it would be nice if it worked correctly. Maybe the Maschine update might sort it out. I'm just happy to own my KKS61 and KU10. Also just went and got a sustain pedal today. It worked first time. I would recommend anyone buying a pedal gets one with a polarity switch.

 

I'm on Mavericks and the West Africa library shows up fine. I don't have the Abbey Road 60 drums installed though.

 

It's ALIVE........ Thank you NI support. They got back to me within 24 hours (even with time difference, I'm in the wonderful world of OZ). It was such an easy fix. Please see below steps. I always had complete trust in NI. I own S4 MK1, 2 X F1, Maschine, KKU10 and KKS61. All have worked on first plug in except KKS61 but problem solved. Can't wait to get my hands on a S8 now. Once again big up to the people is NI support.

Please re-initilize Komplete Kontrol database:

1) Open Macintosh Finder

2) Click on 'Go' and keep the 'Alt'-key pressed

3) Select Library

4) Then browse for Application Support > Native Instruments > Komplete Kontrol

5) Delete the file 'komplete.db3'

6) Launch Komplete Kontrol in standalone mode.


PS: Another satisfied customer. Massive respect to the NI support team............. Couldn't ask for more. For all those haters out in internet land. Get over it. NI will be around for a long time...........

Has this changed for v1.8.1? I'm on Mac and do not see komplete.db3.

I now see 1 folder (PAResources) and ScanApp

 

hey gusngriz,

You are probably in the main 'Library' folder. Go to your <user_name> -> 'Library' folder (as iammicmac described in steps above) if you are experiencing the same issue.

didnt help me sadly, mac user here. weird thing is I found the folder with the images in but they dont show up in KK. any ideas guys?

 

i'm having the same issue, as if the graphics for the "browser" were all gone, not even the missing icon tab is showing. Any ideas?
