Ive installed Reaktor 5 on my mac. I cant find it as a plugin in the dropdown list inside Logic. Ive installed it as an AU plugin but still it is not there. Can any one tell me if there is something i need to be doing.

    Thanks

btw, have you launched Reaktor in standalone mode?

have you installed the 5.1.4 update?

which version of Logic and what Mac are you using?

    cheers for the reply Sowari:D

The standalone version opened up ok and ive installed the latest version last night with my service centre.

Im running OS X 10.4.10 and my mac is intel 2.66gz dual core Xeon, 3gb memory, mac pro. Just recently bought.

    hope you can help.

It should just recognise reaktor AU/FX automatically but if not try the following if you haven’t already, go to Logic preferences > Start AU Assistant (or is it Audio Unit’s Manager? i cannae remember now), this'll close down logic and scan your systems folders for any new plug-in’s/fx.

When you say “Ive installed it as an AU plugin but still it is not there.” what did you do specifically/differently to install it as an AU other than simply installing R5? I ask because there should be nothing more you need to do than install R5.

Once AU has finished scanning, Go to a Channel strip in logic’s mixer view, and check FX and AU instruments if it is there as a plug-in option.

Failing this I’d be inclined to check that Logic is searching for AU instruments in the right place.
