I've tried, even downloaded it twice but keep getting this:

"an I/O error occured while installing a file. This is normally caused by a bad installation media or a corrupt installation file."

All I can do is abort half way through the install...

It seems to stall while installing "Drumkit From Hell 2VST.dll"

    any ideas ???

The Stand-Alone version is updated but the VST version is still 1.0.2

    DFD is the current version...

you most likely have defective installation software on the original DVD that will require replacement. This happened to me and I am awaiting a replacement for my original DFH2 disk! I contacted NI for support with a brief description and a zipped jpeg file of the error message screen shot that appeared each time I attempted to install the DFH2 update.
    hope that helps,
    ant

Glad to see i'm not the only one with this weird problem... or bug?

Can anyone post a reply if they find a solution?

Will contact tech support in the meanwhile...

Got an e-mail from tech support today:

"please deactivate your firewall while you download the update.
The thing is: your firewall corrupts the download."

Of course, I don't have any firewall at all (using Win98 for internet).

    so...

    anyone luckier?

The DFH2 updater for PC appears to have been corrupted. When I run the update from our internal intranet, the plugins are installed correctly, but I can confirm that the download available from our website gives an error message after installing the standalone.

We will fix this as soon as possible.

    Regards,

The Windows updater for DFH2 has been replaced and now installs all plugins correctly.

Please let me know if you continue to have problems with this, and my apologies again for the inconvenience.

    Best,
