    Hello everyone,

lets say i have a sample that is just a simple sound, e.g HiHat, and I want it to be played every 32 bars.
So I put that sample in track deck A and its just 1 bar in there. Then I set a loop to 32 bars and capture that loop in my remix deck.
So far so good, I can play that 32 bar sample now with my remix deck.
However, after I saved it and reloaded the remix deck (yes I did all that stuff like play it 3 times etc.) the HiHat sample is still there,
but not 32 bars but only 1 bar like the original sample.

Anyone know a way how to fix this?

    Cheers!

Just for my clarification, are you talking about bars or beats.....?

My guess is that it's not broken so there nothing to fix ^^
There's something you didn't get here (once again a guess).
Just for the sake of it and to make it simple, in that specific case, traktor doesn't create sound/time when there is none to record. You need to to that differently, however you'll have issues if you're talking about bars (which doesn't' make sense to me, if you really want to play something every 32 bars (128 beats) press play yourself on the sample - shouldn't be too hard - or record it with the correct length.

    • so if you're talking about bars: as said before, just record the sample within a new file with the correct length (adapt and cut it with a daw, whatever). I don't see any other way.

    • If you're talking about beats:
solution 1: record your sample within the loop recorder at 32 beats, drag the recorded sample from the loop recorder into the remix cell and save it as a loop. Done. It will have the correct length and be played as loop as you're looking for.
Solution 2: use your sample as a one-shot with the correct settings, set the quantise setting at 32 beats, press it each time you wanna have it played ( a bit before actually), the quantise setting will make sure it will be played every phrase

    • as side notes:
      • the loop recorder has a maximum length of 32 beats. It's a very handy tool if you wanna "loop" some one-shots for example or have specific looped patterns.
      • A sample (one-shot or loop), as considered by Traktor inside a remix cell, has a maximum TIME length (which for the life of me can't remember.. but it's quite short.
      • However you can put a TRACK inside a remix cell and don't have the aforementioned limit (you'll have different ones however).
      • you change the type of file (ones-hot, loop, track inside the browser, by right clicking on the file and changing its type (that's the general setting for that file) or directly within the remix deck (specific use, only from and to loops/one-shots)

    Does that make sense?

    Hey Yul,

    thanks for your long reply!

Sorry I don't know why i said bars, I meant beats of course!

Your solution no. 2 works perfectly. Thanks!
