I got a Z2 hopefully showing up on monday. This mixer seems to be 11 inch. most Mixer cases are either designed for 10 or 12 in mixers.

Like to hear about casing option user will take with this mixer. I know most cases have some padding to make adjustments.

I would love to have a flight case that fits this mixer and a single F1. I've looked everywhere and may have to have one custom built....pricey :(

    Hey guys,

I experienced the same thing with mine since it can only hold a 10" mixer. What I did was remove/cut the padding from both sides of the mixer case and it fits perfectly now. right now I'm trying to look for a thinner padding material for the sides to still give it some protection.

Don't forget you will a drop down front on any case for a Z2 for access to the headphone socket and assorted doobries.

What case do you have? I was thinking the same thing? I have a case for a 12 inch mixer but it does not have a cut out for the headphones.

I have an Odyssey combo case that holds 2 CDJ's and a 10" mixer in the middle. It has the slot sleeves to remove in front of the case which allows me access to my headphone jacks/crossfader contour knob.

I'm exactly the same as Eddie. Had to remove the metal spacers and also looking for some ruler thin padding to place n between my Cdjs.

Well things like the Road Ready 10MIX (http://www.guitarcenter.com/Road-Ready-RR10MIX-Universal-10--DJ-Mixer-Case-101935336-i1171451.gc) case actually have inner dimensions for mixers up to 10 3/4" and by what Sweetwater says the Z2 is 10.71" wide.. So it should be a near perfect fit. BUT of course the headphone jacks being off to the side on the Z2 so much, I doubt the front panel is going to be a help on this case.

I don't have mine in yet (arrives on Tuesday!) but this is one of the cases I was looking at.

Although not a full on case by ANY means... but I did enquire with Decksavers and they ARE in the works of producing one of their durable DUST COVERS for the more 'permanent' type installs, which suits my needs more.

They didn't provide a timing unfortunately.

So the coffin was designed for a 10 inch mixer but had enough play to fit the 11 z2?

Is this the case you have?

Just bought an Odyssey 10" mixer case, and I can confirm that it does fit the Z2 (like a glove) and the front panel opening is wide enough to use both heapdhone jacks on the front of the Z2 as well as access the x-fader curve knob.

What about the connections on the back? Will the mixer need to be elevated from behind in order to get the RCAs/XLRs/TRSs/USB cables connected, or is there room for these connections, and their cables to be "comfortably" connected while allowing the mixer to remain flush with the case?

In fact, is there any chance you could share some pics of what the Z2 looks like in the Case?

There is ample room for connections at the back, no need to tilt the mixer at all. I'd say there's a good 15-20cm behind the mixer (when pushed all the way to the front of the case). I will take some pictures and post them up when I get back home from work.

Is that the Odyssey FZ10MIX case? That's so perfect! Just got my Z2 in, need a case for it asap, and can get that on eBay for $90.

Yep it's the FZ10MIX case. If you live in Toronto you can purchase it from AVshop.ca for $98 + a 4% discount if you say you're from djforums.com and pick it up in person to save you the shipping. Mine came out to $109 after taxes and everything. Dunno if that may be more worthwhile than shipping it from wherever on Ebay.

    All the best!
