Could be the first time ever that an expansion has dropped, and it's not on the main page and a discussion thread hasn't been created. Has anyone bought this yet?

I think one problem is the expansion requires the 2.4 update. And I do not want to update until I know it is stable.

I don't know, it almost, to me, seems the expansions are coming to fast. And I have decided I don't really need them. Usually I will trap my good headphones and listen almost immediately when it is announced, this time I have no desire. Not sure why.

these exp's are too cheap to make distribute and store... they should sell them for 5€ each imo :D

In my opinion and speaking for myself only, I'm just not that interested in anything regarding Maschine until 2.5 or 3.0. Although I will say this, the expansions are worth the money all day.

Best investment for me personally. If some just make tracks every now and then, it might not be for you. For those that actually make tracks everyday and produce songs for artists this is a great investment. For those that do hip hop/R&B like me these are the best drums on the market. You have such a variety it's not even funny. The best songwriting set-up by far is maschine expansions, komplete 10 ultimate with maschine studio/komplete S61.

They are worth every penny. Think that with out them if you do dance or pop, you have to go look for companies that produce sound packs for that genre. Then you end up buying them and they aren't inspiring. If you do a particular genre you have to have those type sounds for that genre period. If I want to do a funk track I go to amplified funk, pop track with 80s vibe neon drive, trap golden kingdom/lazer dice, dance-lone forest/grey forge, or reggae-carribean current.

While you wait you can join maschine masters where their are lessons for maschine. 10 min drills where you flip random samples to keep your skills sharp etc.

I picked it up tonight. I had a e-voucher . Really like the deep sounds/beats. It seems to me that the newer packs have more content than earlier packs. I always look at the contents to see which synth was used and the overall content included.

Fingers crossed there will be some expansion discounts on Black Friday. This one looks really interesting.

I actually don't even really use Maschine, but I use the expansion packs as sample libraries when building Battery kits. I like how they're sorted and how each one has its own atmosphere/production style.

This one isn't for me. I liked some of it but not enough to buy. Never the less the deeper bass was excellent.

Can get the same inspiration from just listening to some good artist. Got way more then enough drums to work with in the expansions I got now and as far as the presets, its just better to go digging around in the synths you got and tweaking till you develop your own new sounds.

"to those that actually make music"

.. oh the irony in that comment, I would point it out but it's funnier not to.

I kinda agree with this. I dont really get inspire by expansions. I really only buy if they have some samples I think are viable for what I am feeling as far as music content.

Updated to the super amazing all singing all dancing 2.4 today and it's just awesome..... Cannot believe what it can do..... Then went ahead and got the expansion pack...... Beware anyone purchasing it when loading drum groups as the vol is very high..... Not good for your monitors........
