    Traktor 2.5 has been announced.

    From the New Features page:

"Now features Jogweel and Joglight advanced HID integration for Pioneer CDJ-2000, CDJ-900 and CDJ-400"

I'm guessing this means the CDJ display will not show the waveform?
That would be disappointing, but this does sound like a good start in the right direction.
Keep up the work, NI. :)

    A load of crap

What a load of sh**from NI. Jog wheel and jog light HID integration...yeah thats what I was waiting for alright.

How about getting your finger out of your arse and develop full HID and stop wasting everyones time with irrelevant HID updates..

    "Stage 1".. what a joke.

I don't think Pioneer would be in a rush to allow Advanced HID in Traktor as this would overshadow the DDJ-t1, but then again, Serato have Advanced HID and the Pioneer DDJ-S1 still sells, so I reckon its the NI side of things that is a little slow.....it's all politics and marketing strategies.....

I tried Traktor 2.5 on Advanced HID... Is it just me or has the jog wheel lag been addressed? I can scratch on the platters and feel good response now.

No wave forms yet or anything fancy yet.

I assume you mean standard HID?

standard/advanced is a setting on the CDJ-2000 itself.

Do all of the buttons on the CDJ 2k's control traktor now? I own a pair of 2k's and only use serato because of there integration. I'm really hoping that 2.5 will give much better control. Can anyone comment on how well they control traktor now?

Advanced HID is working on my CDJ 900's with Traktor 2.5 now. It's alright. The response is a little better. Everything seems to be working pretty well. Not much of a difference though. It does seem to be more stable as far as dropping connections and stuff. That was a problem I was having with standard HID. Every once in a while the sound would just drop out because of a bad USB connection or something. That doesn't seem to be happening at all. It's definitely a step in the right direction.

Has anyone used it live in a club yet? I have and there is a MAJOR bug...the bass in the club makes the bmp on the decks twitch like mad making mixing impossible...the opposite deck hasn't got a clue what pitch the other is on! Is there a sensitivity setting for the cdj which I don't know about cos if not I'm switching back to the old version I can't live with this....as a test try tapping the side of the cdj quiet firm in time with the bass and see if the bpm twitches

ADvanced HID is finally working... well partly anyway.....

no waveforms and lots of lag with vinyl mode on the platter.

however, pitch bend is super snappy and all other buttons work. i find you have to press the cue point button twice first off to move cue points.

otherwise pretty good. CUE works perfectly and being able to use the internal souncards of cdjs is great.

Just feels like a half baked Job thought to be honest. I wonder when phase two will come. i guess though this is better than nothing and at least means we can use traktor with the new cdjs in clubs.

Are you 100% sure it says "Advanced" HID have you gone into the menu on the cdjs and changed it from standard to advanced? From what you have described in your comments it sounds like its still standard HID which we have had since the cdjs first came out over 2 years ago.

Does the brake knob work so when you press the play button it stops like a vinyl? Standard HID mode the brake knob had no effect and no matter where you had it the tune still stops dead when you press the play button.

I can conferm that cdj 900 IS working in Advanced HID mode as i played 4 ohr on it yesterday :) but i think only a few "Advanced" fungsions are activeted as of now.

Would be great is we got some OFFICIAL info about what is working and what we can look forward to :)

Dj Knut you was right Asvanced HID is working on the cdjs I've just got to the club here tonight and hooked up. Now for the bad news: it's EXACTLY the same as standard only difference being that it says advanced instead of standard lol. Oh and the bug is still there which makes the pitch jump with any kind of bass :(( major dissapointed :((
    ---
Touch/Brake and release start still have no effect whatsoever on starting and stopping a track. Direction switch (fwd or rev) still doesn't do anything. Still no waveform, the time mode button doesn't work (only shows time elapsed not time remaining) can't scroll through tunes on the cdj screen either.

NI says the spinning led light has been improved however it still looks jerky and awkward to me. Just compared it side by side to a cdj playing a cd and its nowhere near as good. Only thing which has improved is the tightness of the platter when scratching etc put its still not perfect

Just curious, did you delete your old CDJ2000 mappings before connecting them with the new update? I remember reading somewhere that this might be necessary

Rekordbox is still the way to go, for now.
Keep up the work, NI. I'm appreciative that you are making an effort, but you still have a long way to go.

RB is still kinda a bad joke. I find it very limiting still. Though its from the sounds of it its still far better than the support traktor gives it. And nither of those are any where how well it works with serato (which is by far the best way to use them). I'm still hoping traktor will step up so i will have choice again finally (well that is only when i'm not doing a video show)
