CDJ 2000 nexus missing HID Settings?

Hey guys

Played out last night and they have CDJ 2000 Nexus alongside DJM 900 Nexus. Never played with them before, read all about how to connect them to Traktor and after doing it i was able to play most parts.

But the thing is - in CDJ 2000 utility menu there is no HID Settings? Is that even possible? The decks worked in most posrt with one working perfectly (including LEd feedback, track browser and so on). The other deck worked only as a controller and soundcard with no visual feedback... The browser was stuck on the first track i played. Yet the buttons seemed to work alright...

Any tips before I head out there again?

I never had problems with this kind of setup.

There ARE no HID Settings for the 2K Nexus Decks and i never needed some. Normally you just plug them in and it works. Thats the idea of HID Controllers. There are also no longer differences between advanced hid or hid mode for the 2K nxs. They should always work in advanced hid mode when using traktor.

When available i would always use the 900nxs as soundcard and the cdj's als hid controllers. Without the 900nxs mixer you may use the cdjs internal soundcards. Both scenarios work very stable.

 

Thanks for getting back to me. Might there be an issue with both of the CDJs using the same midi channel? both were on channel 1 but i didnt want to mess with settings during the gig

 

Is it up to NI to improve or add features or is it Pioneer?

I would like to see the "on air" feature and of course the waveform on the CDJ 2000 Nexus.

I have not been able to get a clear response as to who has to implement this. If it's NI, is it in the works or being considered even?

It would need to be Pioneer who add these features to the HID functionality.

 

i have had problems getting cd2000 nexus with traktor , lot of people say its plug & play ? not working for me , i want to see tracks on screen on cdj ? i aslo have djm900 nexus

 

Google on how to setup traktor with cdjs in hid mode, dj endo has a good tutorial on it.
