Cdj 350 - Djm 400 - Traktor Pro Help

cdj 350 won't control traktor.. what's wrong? I got audio 8 soundcard cdj 350s + djm 400. on m-audio bx5as. all updates and everything. i'm new to the interface **** and idk what to do but i spent all this money and i wanna record.

 

You trying to use the CDJs with timecode or as MIDI controllers?

 

I'm new to mixing, I'm not even sure what that really means. haha.

the new midi map is there...also there is a set up guide.

remember audio 8 / outs must be plugged into your mixe.

 

I've followed those directions multiple times and still no luck. I'm sure I've connected to correct wires. I do not understand how to do the input routing and output routing. I 100% regret going with Traktor, I know if I went with serato I would have found help by now.

I am assuming that you will use cdj's as midi controllers.
1st your cds are plugged to your laptop & audio 8.
2nd on the audio 8 (out a & b) plug audio cables to your mixer (line in/cd)
go to traktor preferences: audio set up choose audio 8.
output routing: external

now i assume you downloaded the tsi from the website.
controller manager, top left, add, import then find your cdj tsi.

you should be good to go.

saw your Traktor Kontrol S4 setup with the CDJ 350's. Just wondering how you have the CDJ 350s set up on the S4 and can you control any of the traktor decks with the midi on it? or are you just using it as a cd deck? I was thinking of picking these up. Thanks for your advice. I tried sending you a private message but the forum won't let me cuz i only have 9 posts...

 

the cdj's work withthe s4 controller, everythings works exceptthe pitch control.
it skips by 6 ...i fell into this set by mistake..i imported the tsi by mistake, thinking i was on tsp.

 

I just wished that the S4 had external mode..that would be sweet.

 

the cdj's work as midi controllers..but the only problem would be the pitch control.
but they work flawlessly with tsp...what are you gonna do..
