Hey guys, I've scoured the internet looking for a way to connect my CDJ 400's, DDM4000 and traktor pro all together.

How I'm aiming to do my set up is having traktor pro running with the 2 cdj 400's connected in HID mode and my ddm4000 connected in midi. So far the only thing ive been able to do is to get the 400's connected in HID and just run them straight into the ddm4000 as a external mixer where its not connected to traktor. I Want the ddm4000 to control traktor as the mixer and not controlling decks.

Does anyone know if its possible without buying one of those soundcard thingys? I do have a DJ/IO lying about somewhere if that helps.

    Cheers in advance guys.

I don't see a USB MIDI port on the back of the DDM4000, so I think if you want MIDI from that mixer you'll need to pick up a USB-MIDI interface. The DJ/IO doesn't have one either, does it?

You have to use a USB midi interface then plug thé USB midi out to the ddm400 midi in and vice versa
You also have to configure the mixer and if needed the decks as midi in the console preferences

To clarify the DDM 4000 does have a midi input/output and I do have the midi to usb cord. I can plug them all in however I cant get traktor to recognise them all. Or I'm not sure how. i seem to only be able to select either the 400's or the ddm4000. Not both. Im sure you can I just dont know how.

Sounds weird. Could you provide further details like your operating system and Traktor version, make and model of your MIDI-to-USB -interface, possibly some screenshots of how the preferences look like with different configuration attempts (ie. only CDJs connected, only mixer connected, all connected) ... these might prove beneficial for troubleshooting.

did you active the midi on the DDM 4000.....

go into setup and midi and activate the midi controls....

Then you can map the controls to work with traktor or get the tsi file for ddm 4000

    i dont use midi on ddm 4000 and i have a X1

Just feed 4 channels into mixer then 1 back into audio 8 of recording
