would like to buy two CD players and use it as a MIDI controller with an external mixer Korg ZERO4, I'd like to 2x Pioneer CDJ-400, but the notebook has to run under Windows Vista and in this configuration, said two CDJ400 do not work. Since the two CDJ400 run under Windows Vista in other programs without any problems (VirtualDJ), and the Traktor 3.2, so would I sometimes wonder whether it will be shortly corrected the problem in the Traktor to be here and work two CDJ400 as MIDI controllers, or what recommend for other CD players that can be used as a MIDI controller and will work correctly with Traktor Pro and Windows Vista.
The upgrade will be released for use MIDI controller with a 14bit MIDI that it is possible to use controllers Reloop Digital Jockey, Vestax VCI-300, ...

yeah, i've got the exact same problem. traktor only seems to be able to see one cdj400 at a time, although each deck does work fine (solo) in traktor. bit weird, is there a fix on the way i wonder?

I have the same problem with CDJ and vista...

    And the support respond:

yes, we are aware of this but unfortunately Using 2 identical devices is not
supported in Traktor Pro under VISTA.

I buy Traktor last week for nothing...

Im thinking about buying swapping my CDJ1000's for 400's as i like the idea of using them as a midi controller too. But as i understand it, the CDJ400's have only USB output right? So does that mean you have to have 2 spare USB ports on your laptop just for the decks or can you daisy-chain them somehow?

I have a Macbook Pro and Apple are stingy, giving me only 2 USB ports on it, i already use 1 for the Audio8DJ and another for a Mouse.

If anyone knows of a way i can get the CDJ400's to work please post!

    Thanks

Been doing some digging on this and it seems to that VISTA can only see the one CDJ400 at a time, which is pretty annoying. To get around it I'm gonna install Windows XP on a seperate partition on my laptop and run Traktor in XP so both CDJ400s can be seen. Pain in the arse, but that seems to be the only way around it at the moment :-( Unless Traktor /Pioneer / Microsoft can come up with a better solution, which, by rights, they perhaps should! I thought new versions, updates and upgrades were supposed to make **** work better...

    Peace and beats

Umm... I think it would be a bit much asking Traktor/Pioneer to come up with a better solution to a problem that is caused by nothing more than Microsoft's blunders. Each should keep their own house clean :)

If that was the problem of Windows Vista, so the two players were seen even in the other program, but so is not aiv Traktor 3.3 are two CDJ-400 under Vista to see and operate. Problem is on the NI

Can anyone tell me if this huge NI blunder has been rectified yet with any patches?....I just mapped out one side of my MIDI CD controller only to find out that the other identical devices can't be seen in traktor pro why using vista....total crap!..I see in upcoming version 1.2 they will have native support for CDJ-400's....I don't see anything about dual identical MIDI devices with Vista?.....Does NI think that the CDJ-400's are the only MIDI CD players on the market?..in the mean time looks like I will have to do the XP route. thanks for any info on this serious matter. or this....http://www.denondjforums.com/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=12292&p=105044
