1. Hi everyone,

Apple just released Logic Pro 10.5 for MacOS 10.15. We found out that Crush Pack, Mod Pack, Replika, and Replika XT will crash.

Our teams are currently working on a fix, and we hope to have this out to you as soon as we can!

    Best wishes,
    The NI Team

If you bothered reading my email, you would see CDJ 850 was traktor ready when it was released. AND NO midi controllers do not let you "choose a deck on your player, similar to a cdj 900." and in fact I even mentioned in my first email that it showed as being traktor ready on their site and the support technician confirmed it. CDJ 850 as a midi controller is NOT a "plug and play" device. HID is. How you can defend them is beyond me. That email was only the tip of the iceberg. I had numerous other correspondences with them last year that confirmed specifically the "HID" would come. Let me show it to you.

NOTE that this was two years after a midi mapping for the 850 was already out, and NO a midi mapping update does not require a software update.

To which after I called them out on it, they letter finally got off their ass and did their job to confirm what I had already gathered through their incompetence...

So don't even try to defend them saying "well it's supported because it has a midi map" NO any controller can be midi mapped, it doesn't need support, and if you've used the midi mapping I hope NI feels embarrassed if that's the best midi mapping they could provide because they "support it as a midi controller".

If I ever responded to my manager or superior with unsupported claims to questions being asked of me I would quickly find myself being escorted out of the building with my possessions. I expect the same level and degree of due diligence on the support team's behalf to confirm or deny questions based on ACTUALLY confirming their information instead of just saying something and then having to find out why they were wrong. If they as a company decide it's not in their interest to support the 850 HID protocol, then so be it. I do however take exception to their horrible customer service which has only prolonged this thread's confusion about the situation as well as frustrate (not only me but) others with standard practices that any company should hold reagrd for when responding technical support questions. THe technical support emails are all done electronically, there is no reason they cannot be forwarded to the relevant departments for confirmation or to someone who know the answers. I was not on the phone with them putting them on the spot.

I think it's more time to start a petition, collecting lots of votes and showing
Native Instruments that we wanna get released the HID Files for the CDJ 350 & CDJ 850!

Does anyone have experience with a serious online petition site that is user friendly and also meant for topics like this? Because there are so much out there and many of them are meant for political issues, enviornment topics....

Please read the forum rules. http://www.native-instruments.com/forum/misc.php?do=showrules

    - messages specifically designed to inflame controversy or exert pressure on Native Instruments

Whilst I understand the issue, this thread will not turn into 'pressure group'. This sub forum is for feature 'suggestions' not demands.

NI might I suggest you add HID support for Pioneer CDJ 850. There would seems to be a lot of demand for it.

    Thank You

Just mailed N.I. regarding this topic AGAIN. I notice this thread now has in excess of 20000 views, there must be quite a bit of interest regarding this topic.

Now that Pioneer have announced the CDJ-900nxs I figure that N.I. will be putting a bit of time in to make it Traktor compatible. This means that now is a good time for people to mail N.I. about HID compatibility for the 850, if there are enough requests then surely they will have to take notice...

    Reply form NI,

"Thank you for contacting Native Instruments!

This is already an open feature request in our bugtracker:

    TP-6033 Traktor Pro 2
please add (advanced) HID mode for the CDJ 850

We cant tell if and when this will eventually be implemented, as unfortunately
we´re not qualified to comment on future products, release dates, sales specials
or developments - we appreciate your understanding.

    Best regards"

Las Vegas is one tiny spot on the face of the earth mate. Traktor reigns supreme in Europe. There is one Serato user in my city and all the DJ's in clubs that use digital, use Traktor. The world is a BIG place.;)

NI are the game in Europe.

Likewise, the CDJ 350 and 850 are a small fraction of CDJs out there, and are non-existant in clubs.

I noticed on the Pioneer forums, there are CDJ-900 Nexus users complaining about lack of HID for Traktor. They are having to use MIDI mode just like us 850 users.

I am still hoping for this missing feature to be added, but unfortunately its not a priority for N.I. :(

Whatever happened to actually supporting as many DJ's as possible?

i gave up after waiting and waiting and went the Mixvibe Cross route on my 850s. Fantastic bit of software, which makes traktor redundant to me :)

Another update and still no HID Mode...maybe serato is the solution or virtual dj or mixvibes.

I have Mixvibes Cross and it really is a great piece of software, HID control with the 850s, Camelot key detection, in key suggestions, compatibility with any suitable soundcard, scope for video mixing etc. BUT it isn't as good as Traktor.

I really don't get the logic in N.I. only supporting selected models of mixer and CD deck.

Although the 850 does have MIDI support, I guess N.I. think that is enough :(
