CDJ 850 HID Support Finally?

Hi guys, whilst speaking to one of your techies at the Bpm show and going through the details of the new z2 mixer he informed me that hid support for the 850s was now n the pipeline?

I had asked him if my current setup of cdj. 850s + audio 6 could be replaced by just using the new z2 with the 850s and he stated yes and that hid was in the pipeline so I could just hook them up to the z2 via usb to work.

Fantastic news and so I have gone and purchased the z2. Do we have any ideas of timescale?

Not a clue, young guy is all I remember wearing some shoulder bag.

 

This would be amazing. I would absolutely love being able to use a new Z2 with my CDJ 850s and being able to use the on-board buttons on my CDJs to do the looping and potentially hot-cueing, as well as activating the flex mode. That woudl be toooooo coool.

 

I would be nice to see some sort of reply or numeration from NI staff on this?

 

For real, I understand this is a huge forum with hundreds of questions being asked everyday, but this has been an ongoing question for the past two years that hasn't been answered by a Native Instruments representative in any of the CDJ 850 threads created.

 

UPDATE: CDJ 859 HID support is not present in version 2.6 of Traktor despite NI's confirmation below. Hopefully this means they are including it in 2.6.1 or one of the next preliminary updates for the 2.6 version of Traktor.

Seems like the technical support at NI doesn't even bother confirming it's facts before it replies to customers.

 

This is disappointing and may be something i may contact trading standards about. Traktor employee stated to me at BPM 2012 that CDJ 850 HID would be coming - this was the major reasoning of me purchasing the Z2 to replace my Audio 6 and Pioneer mixer.

 

Got a Z2, loving it! Now all I'd need to make my life complete is CDJ 850 HID support!

I have no idea if and when HID support will come for the CDJ-850. We have referred
this feature request to our developers and will try to add it in a future version,
but we cannot give an estimated time of when this will be implemented. Sorry for
any inconvenience this has caused and thank you for your patience.

^That's too bad. Hopefully the more people keep asking NI technical support for this feature, the quicker it will be provided for us! Maybe in the new year they will provide us with some new year's cheer with CDJ 850 HID support
