Solved CDJ-900nxs & Traktor Advanced HID

Hello guys,
I need your help! I was trying to connect my Pioneer CDJ-900nxs with Traktor but I got stuck with the HID. The CDJs seem to be connected correctly as I can navigate through Traktor Library an are able to control the choosen deck. Unfortunally the big waveform doesnt show up when I leave the browser on the CDJs as it does e.g. with an USB-stick. What am I missing out?

Hi,

I’m not totaly sure but I think you maybe need a Traktor soundcard to transform the CDJ’s signal to a Traktor timecode.

thank you for your reply! For all I know the soundcard/timecode is not the Problem as I use the Xone:43C which is certificated by Traktor. I am able to control Traktors decks with the CDJ-900nxs, I can see the small waveform in the bottom end of the display, the only thing I'm missing is the big waveform when leaving the browser on the CDJs (which should be possible since the CDJ-900nxs Support Traktors Advanced HID).
I'm sure this cant be a big thing. Traktor is updated to its current version, the driver and the Firmware on the CDJs are up to date too...

But isn't the CDJ-900nxs Pioneers latest CDJ-model? What's the difference between HID and advanced HID then?

 

No, the CDJ-900NXS is 5 years old, so quite a few CDJs and XDJs have been released since. Large waveforms are only supported on the XDJ-1000MK2, CDJ-2000NXS2 and CDJ-TOUR1. You can see for yourself with a trial of Rekordbox DJ.
