Hey guys... Love DJ'n on my CDJ100's with Scratch

    BIG PROBLEMOOO GANG :(

when I'm playing in clubs, (everyone knows what setting up scrtach-CDJ's etc) and the DJ is on before me playing CDs and I want to play through my laptop was wondering has anyone a device or wires that allow to you to put in a normal CD and DJ on the 100's, but once you put your Scratch disc in you can use Traktor?

I found out (well I think) it would work if there is such thing as 2x phono - splits into 2x more phono then I think it would work?

has anyone tried anything like this?

    any suggestions

    Pete

I think this will work just by setting "audio in" (or whatever it's called) within TSP pro instead of scratch control on the deck you're using.

"Audio Through" is your friend. Otherwise use the multicores as they are intended to be used.

I also thought about multi-core but as the CDJ feed Line level signal, if there's only 1 Lin input per channel, he'd gave to use 2 channels instead of just one going thru TP.

ok made a mistake lol, was looking at videos on youtube of the multicores I wasn't using the wire that was suppose to go from your CDJ.

Anyway found out the problem, re wired all the wires properly using the line/phono channels

However.... when I have the timecode cds in perfect audio coming out all working grand, happy days.

When I put a normal CD in and play its awful distored sound. So I switched the multicore wires between the phono/line in! then the CD works perfect and when I put the timecode CD in taht sounds awful and distorted

    HELP :(

What kind of mixer are you using? Are you plugging line level into phono in the back of the mixer?

Sounds like a pretty basic issue here...

into line and its perfect, then when I go into phono for the CD to play normaly its all distorted but if I change them around it works and vice-versa

I have DJM600 so I could just put it into another channel, say line 3 but its grand having a 4channel mixer.

What do you do in a club with a 2channel mixer :O

Don't bother with any of that. Just use 'audio through' on the deck in Traktor Scratch when using a normal CD.
