CDXtract4 W/ Panther problems

Hi,

Anyone using CDXtract4 with OSX Panther (10.3.1) with success ?

I am having crashing problems when auditioning samples, plus not able to import Giga, or mixed mode Akai CDroms.

According to the CDXtract website, it is compatible with OSX Jaguar, but and above, but not sure if this would mean Panther or just to the last version of Jaguar.

Nothing directly relating to Kontakt but.....

It seems on all platforms that CDxtract crashes if you try to audition the samples too rapidly, try easing up on how fast you are selecting one sample after another.
Also, I don't know if your using a cracked version or not.
About import from CD, make sure you press one of the buttons near the top of the program that has the name of your CD drive on it, or if you dont see it you have to hit the ">>" button.
Whatever the problem, if you have done what I suggested above.. The program seems to handle Giga files better anyway if you already have them on your hard drive then import from the browser by clicking the Giga button. So try putting the files [maybe even the Akai] on to your hard drive first then just delete the originals after you had converted them.
