Please help if you can -- this is driving me crazy. From what I've heard of Kore 2 so far, I love it. But it's hard to keep it running because it always crashes when loading certain sounds. The know guilty parties so far are Cyborg Cello, Space Age, Baghira, Blowtorch, Forgotten Pipe, Horn Experience, and Dark Side of the Arp. The one obvious thing these voices have in common is that they are all Kore Factory sounds.

Given this, playing with Kore 2 is like trying to dance in a mine field -- as soon as I start having fun, it blows up on me. When it does, it kills off whatever audio I'm using and I have to reboot to get things to work again. VERY tedious. If I knew which sounds to avoid it would help, but all I can do is write them down right after they kill me.

I'm running Kore 2 in stand-alone mode on a Windows XP (Service Pack 3) machine with 6 gig of memory and a 3 gigahertz Pentium 4 processor. I have a ColorJet printer & some other stuff attached, but the problem occurs even if I detach these things.

I have rebuilt the sound database twice, reinstalled the drivers several times, made sure I have the most current version of everything, uninstalled the entire package and started fresh, tried it with more than one audio interface, and various other things, all to no avail. I have spent four of five hours studying the knowledge base and reading this forum, but haven't found a clue for this one. I can't think what else I could try at this point. Oh, yes -- and I have a ticket in with tech support, but as you know the turn-around time for that is such that I may die of old age before I get this thing working.

    Thanks for any tips.

    David
