    Hhm...I would have preferred it "non-fixed"...
    The Mixer looks really nice and if it's certified it'll definately sell like hotcakes, but still I must say I am a bit dissappointed (not only because of the fixed powercable):

    1.) Internal EFX instead of a good and dedicated midisection?:(

    Whilst i understand that the market for a two channel efx mixer is there as there basicly only are three contenders: DJM 350/400 DJM 909 and Stanton's M.207,

    edit:
    Ooops, I forgot the Reloop IQ2+ as well as the Urei 1601e...

    but being that Mixer probably will be certified and therefore somehow is aimed at DJs using Traktor Scratch Pro, why include internal EFX?
    What we really need is a certified two-channel-battlemixer with a wicked midisection, sth pretty much exactly like the Rane ttm-57 but for Traktor:
    A couple of midibuttons for cuepoints/sync & loops and two push-encoders for selecting and loading tracks.
    At least for most Traktor Users internal mixer EFX are not needed (which I'm guessing also raised the price for the mixer a bit)- midi though is!

    2.) Am I right thinking when looking at the back of the mixer that I have to choice between using efx send and return or booth out (A/B-switch)?
    So lets say Im spinning in the club and I'm using EFX send/return, I'd have to hook up my monitorspeaker to the master out 2 leaving me with no "out" left for recording my sets....please correct me if I'm mistaken.

    3.) This ones just a small one: Why didn't you also use Flexfaders as channelfaders?

    I gotta say, DenonDJ, this mixer is VERY attractive indeed, but why the fixed power cable? It's almost a dealbreaker to me. I'm used to unplugging my mixer's cable and coiling it up and putting it in my cable bag like a good little monkey before tenderly placing it in my flightcase and heading off to the next gig. This fixed cable looks like it can take some punishment but if and when it finally breaks, what's a DJ to do?n The 1600 and 1700, from what I see, use the standard IEC connector, so why not the 600? Does it autoswitch between 120 and 240 volts at least?

    Strat I have to partially disagree with you on internal effects. If a mixer has them and they can be synced to the MIDI output of Traktor (Korg Zero4 anyone?), then why not add on to Traktor's own effects? As it is with my current workhorse, I can run two effects internal to Traktor, then use the Korg's internal channel effects, and then even add on its master effects as needed. Uberflexible, if a bit overkill. It WOULD be nice to have some built-in MIDI controller knobbies and buttons on this mixer though.

    I never use send effects anymore, not the way I spin, though I can see your concern in point #2.

    And finally, if the line faders aren't flex, I hope they're Innofader-able.

    @ Telly

    I fully agree with you on the powercable and as for the effects:

    I see your point, whilst it definately is nice being able to add to Traktors internal EFX and I'm sure the internal EFX of the mixer rock, my point thou was....instead of the EFX (which take up quite a bit of space on the mixer) i would have preferred to have a dedicated well thoughtout midisection!
    I realise I can use the efx-knobs & buttons for midi but that's a whole lot of wasted space on a mixer for just a "few buttons" if one was to only use them as midi!

    As for the faders;

    http://www.denondj.com/DN-X600-P124.aspx

    "The DN-X600 provides the DJ with ultimate control of their mix with 45-mm High Performance Flex Fader (cross fader) with tension adjustment, 45-mm custom Alps-type Channel Faders, Innofader-Pro compatibility (for cross fader) and Channel Fader contour adjustment."

    sounds to me as if only the crossfader is Innofader-compatible. :(

    Well, I don't cut a lot on my line faders. If the price is right I can live with Innofadering only the crossfader. I loves me some Innofader (if Elliot Marx has kids, I'm putting them through college!).

    Let's just agree that Denon needs to send us each 2 of these. One for use...and one for modding!

    You can use USB send/return with MIDI Clock if you wish to use internal Traktor efx.

    Right, but none of those offer USB Audio Interface and MIDI
    X600 creates a new class of mixer with rich features at this price point.

    Correct, its a shared function.

    Master has 2 outputs, RCA and Balanced, with the added Booth, thats 3 avail outputs.

    No space for deep body faders and cost would be much higher.
    Plus this is not a pure scratch mixer, its a bit of everybody mixer.

    Right, but what I meant to say was basicly that I don't like the fact that EFX-Send and Booth share their outs.

    As this means, that if a scenerio such as the one I descibed:
    XLR Outs - Main Out => housesystem!
    Cinch Outs => Booth Speakers
    Booth out => EFX Send

    The three outs would all be taken and I would have none left to record my set out of! :(

    Anywho, thanks for taking the time to answer all my questions and concerns Silvio!
    You truely are a man of the people! Bigup to Denon - Keep up the good work!
    Let me know if you need someone in Germany to test or rep that mixer, I'd be more than happy to do it!:D

    Dn-x600

    At first glance this mixer may not look like much because of the midi capabilities. But it packs a lot of punch.

    From the info that I can gather this this little 2ch mixer has an 8in/8out soundcard. I can't wait to read the manual to see what this mixer can unleash.

    I'm gonna pick one up for sure but if the x600 gets certification and can retire my D.2pro I'll pick up 2 of them.

    From what I've read it already works like a certified mixer if you select dn-x1600. :cool:
