Hi. Made an acct here so I can ask: how do you change the start and end times of all samples in all groups at once?
I have a kit that I want to play in reverse. So I select all groups and then hit "Reverse" in the Source pane. But.. Many of the samples have long tails of just silence so its taking several seconds to even start the reverse sound. I tried selecting all groups (or selecting all groups with mouse in mapping editor) and then using the wave editor to move the start and end markers, but it only does one sample at a time! I simply want to decrease the amount of time it takes between me hitting the key and and the reversed sample to get up to an audible range, so I'm trying to change the envelope of all samples at once. Is there any way to do this? There must be, right. Help a brother out! This is so annoying. I'm in Kontakt 6.2 full ver, if that matters at all.

Unfortunately no, you cannot batch setting sample end points (which is your startpoint when reversed) within Kontakt itself. You would have to go to Creator Tools and do this with a Lua script.

Dang. Well, thanks for letting me know. Are such LUA scripts available or is that something I'd have to make?

You'd have to make them, but there's some tutorial scripts coming with Creator Tools, it shouldn't be too difficult to extrapolate what you want by perusing them plus the manual.

You can modulate sample start in the Source module with a constant, the amount determined by the intensity slider. If the samples are reversed, this will cut off the right hand end of all the samples (which seems to be what you want to do?). Will still need individual sample adjustment (as will any method) unless the duration of silence at the end is the same for every sample.

brilliant! worked exactly as intended once i got into sampler mode instead of dfd. with multi-sample packs its a bit tricky (as you mentioned in your last line) but its still much better than using an external vst reverser! thank you stephen, blessings to you and yours!

    Using stock kontakt brass presets....

    Ive switched to sampler,
    opened up source mod settings.
    added constant
    turned slider up to 100%
set it to modulate sample start time
    not getting any changes...

Do you know why this is? Thank you!
