Its a kind of joke that there is no way to change pad color from the controller like the f1 can? :(
    Please add this feature....

All the effort to make most things achievable form hardware, but not colors. :(

Ditto that. The F1 even came out before the MK2 Maschine. Color selection from the hardware should have absolutely been included on the new Maschine. It should be a simple update to make that an included feature.

Then we could: Select pad you want to change the color of, hold [SHIFT] + [GRID] to change the pads into the "Color Selection Grid", with each pad showing one of the 16 available colors, hit the color you want to assign to the selected pad, done.

This is the very first thing that had me scratching my head, wondering how on Earth that slipped through the cracks. Please add this feature asap.

Well maybe we should buy F1 even we don't use/need/want it to have this feature.. :))

Unfortunately that won't change the colors on the Maschine. It needs to be a feature ON the Maschine hardware itself. It's a must if you ask me.

Yes. Please. I don't know if it was in a dream, or in waking reality, but I could swear that I had heard that Mk3, or the last Maschine update was going to be fitted with this option...

WHy has this not happened yet. My biggest annoyance right now. I like to set colors for every pad, but always have to go back to the laptop in a live scenario (where the laptop is usually on the floor).

7 years later I am happy to say this feature has finally been implemented, thread tagged accordingly.
Info also added to the Most Requested Features thread.

But I was expecting something more practical and direct than having to select the color in a drop-down list...
same to move the sounds, I hoped to have a function that would have allowed to swap two sounds ... so I suggest to be able to switch two sounds by pressing shift + pad in "pad mode"
