changing of volume when I play drums

    Hi everybody,
I have a problem in Maschine 2.0. When I play an instrument the volume is ok, but as soon as I add the drums to the song, the volume of the music is getting lower. Is there anything in the options I have to change? Or does anybody knows why it is like this?

    Thanks and kind regards,

    Aleas

The reverb loops and stacks causing your ear to loose some dynamics. It's it just precived volume?

Well, I don't exactly know what you mean by perceived volume, but for example if I play a melody on piano, then I add only one clap, the volume of the melody is getting lower for a short time (one or two seconds) before getting back to normal volume. And if I play a drum loop, the volume stays lower than it should be.
If I make a melodic intro the volume is normal, but as soon as I add snare, claps or kicks the volume is getting lower for the duration of the drum loop and when I finish it, like I said before, it take one or two seconds before getting back to normal.

Personally, I have the feeling it's a parameter which has to be changed, because, even if I just reinstalled the whole komplete and maschine on the laptop, it's just since I updated it that this effect comes up, is that possible?

Thanks in advance, and kind regards,

What you're describing is the behaviour of a compressor or limiter with a long release time.

    Thanks for your comment Reefius.
I didn't put any compressor or limiter. Do you know how this can be and how to remove that effect?

Are you on an Apple Macintosh by any chance ?
If you are it is built in to the audio subs system and can not be turned off, what you will have to do is to just lower the listening volume or invest in an external audio interface.

For the moment I use WASAPI (default program on windows) as a sound driver, can it be that that's the problem? That I should install ASIO?

It may be worth you looking at the control panel for the audio chipset on your computer, if it is built in it is most likely a Realtek chipset, some of those can have limiters on them, but they will normally have a tickbox.
You can look in control panel or you may even find an extra set of options in your programs, I have a Realtek chipset here that also has built in DOlby, the limiter is in the Dolby control panel.

Keep in mind, it may not even be this causing the issue.

Thanks Philly Boon and you all for your advices and tips, it is exactly as you said.
There was a incorporated limiter on the chipset. I solved that problem by installing asio4all.
